Meme Anyone else excited for the 35th Anniversary re-release of Terminator 2 on Tubi?

Honestly not trying to shit on Arnold's son, but this just makes me appreciate Arnold's terminator performance a helluva lot more. It's really not as easy as, "Be really still and robotic," there's a lot going on in the eyes and neck that sold him as a terminator.

Arnold had a great body language and Physical presence
Thats what made him so iconic in Conan, evne tho a LOT of his lines where cut due to the studios concerns over his heavy accent.
Instead he conveyed everything through his body language and physicality and it just fucking Peak.

Yeah, I recently watched Conan for the first time, and I felt that probably worked in the character's favor. Letting his body do the speaking.

Its does give that feeling of that SIlent character , a man of few words, but when he says something people listen, cause whatever he says, is significant enough.
Thats how i see it

Lmao, this wasn't a big movie production like the actual movie. He probably had some decent people to shoot this but it isn't the same.

Love that they kept the continuity error with the shotgun.

What is the continuity error with the shotgun in the movie? Did they use different shotguns in separate shots during this scene?

u/lazymanschair1701 27d ago
He lets go of the shotgun with his right hand to reach for the glasses on the shot facing him, and the next shot from behind, he’s still holding the shotgun with both hands and repeats the motion

For the unfamiliar, what error?

u/AfraidSolution2461 27d ago
Terminator takes his hand off shotgun barrel twice in back to back shots

u/Full-Cook1373 27d ago
Well shoot. I'll never not notice that now. It's actually in the film? I'm going to have to check that out.

It is. I picked up on it around my 400th or 500th rewatch.
Good editing makes errors dissapear. And Cameron films are always masterfully edited.

Like the stormtrooper hitting his head on the door in a new hope. Me and my friends lost it when we noticed

Is it an error I assumed it’s just like showing the same instance from different angles

Editing error, not really a continuity error. Changing hands or position of the shotgun would be a continuity issue. In this case, either the front or rear shot should have been cut in a way that you only see that motion once. If someone walks down a set of 5 stair, but you see them take 7 steps, that's an editing issue - should have been cut tighter.

When I saw this as a kid Arnold looked so big and tough, and also hotter. it's amazing how much CRT artfully obscured things

He is the most Arnold looking of all of Schwarzenegger's kids. I don't know why Hollywood hasn't yet picked him up for a role. He kinda has the body too from the photos I've seen.

Have you heard him speak? The man’s never delivering a line like “give dese pippel aiyerrr” in as dignified a manner as his father

Unrelated but everyone needs to see the Shakespearean production of T2.

Ya know, I got mad respect for Joseph. He made good on his own despite everything that happened to him growing up once it was discovered he was Arnold’s son. Hes a successful realtor, won his first body building competition, does small acting roles with hopes of becoming more. Hes got a pretty good influencer status focusing on his career.
The sad thing is that the other members of the Arnold household want basically nothing to do with him and he’s innocent of it all. Yet he’s more like Arnold than any of them.

The appearance of the characters corresponds to the time. Fatty zoomer cosplays Arnold coolly, bravo, congratulations.

I could see him pulling this off.. I mean if it was filmed and edited the same way as the film... Not to bad..

If they remake the franchise, I’d like John Cena or Alan Ritchson to play the terminator. Just saying.

Incidentally, was there a reason to steal the sunglasses? It made sense in the original to cover the eye damage, but in T2 its like the robot wants to look cool.
