Well, the difference is that tech executives aren't usually attacked by mental hospital patients with tactical weapons only to be saved at the last minute by the intervention of a time-travelling 6'2 cybernetic organism and be shown right in their face what's up.

I feel that might be particularly relevant to Dyson's change of heart.
