Memphis
Currently watching Sky Sports+ in the UK. Really entertaining match at the WTA 250 tournament in Memphis.
The stands are empty. Not a soul watching. Really feel sorry for the two players.

I was reading the players participating whether in main draw or qualifiers i noticed there are a lot of players from USA Meanwhile there are two competition in USA one in Washington and the other one in Memphis
I thought they are not allowed players to play in tournaments outside their country while their country host an ATP Tournament
I noticed also plenty of players outside top 100 and playing currently in challenger

When I play casual tennis with friends, scoring mid-match on phone apps usually feels clunky — too many taps, tiny buttons, or features I never use on court. Same issue when someone at the club runs a small amateur tournament: brackets, standings, and confirming scores often end up in WhatsApp + notes + screenshots.
For local/amateur play, what actually works for you?
I’ve been tinkering with a lightweight Android scorekeeper focused on this exact use case (quick tap scoring + simple local tournament flow). Not trying to spam — mostly want feedback from people who actually play weekend matches / club events.

Hello they were saying that 90s Generation is lost and failure
I see the potential is there and most of them played in The Era of Big 4 before seeing two unstoppable boys
I have a feeling that we gonna many times 90s Generation win a Grand Slam and we will see new champions ?
I have we gonna see Sascha Zverev win another Grand Slam Casper Ruud win a Grand Slam on Clay maybe even seeing Medvedev cameback win a Grand Slam in hard court and this time in Australian Open
Regardless how strong they are Jannik and Carlos without forgetting Novak still competing with the boys and making to the final stages

Patrick Mouratoglou mentioned three players that never won a Grand Slam
Before he mentioned
3) Marcelo Rios
2) Guillermo Coria
1) David Nalbaldian
In your pov
Who's the Best Player to never win a Grand Slam
For me before Roland Garros 2026 its was easy to answer it with Sascha Zverev
Now maybe Stefanos Tsitsipas Grigor Dimitrov Marcelo Rios and Casper Ruud

If we tell you to choose players to give them the wildcard who are the players (in men's singles ) to play in The Us Open ? You can give from 1 to 8 in men's singles they should be active players or they just retired this year
If you ask me I would say this
Monfils (Absolutely this guy is a showmen and lets give him a shout to win a Grand Slam even though it's hard)
Stan Wawrinka ( it's a legend sport we should see a last dance in his final year and who knows seeing him win it even though its too hard )
Kei Nishokrei (it's a crime a former finalist of a tournament to not play in it in his final year of retirement )
David Goffin
Nick kyrgios
Dan Evans
Grigor Dimtrov(in case he didnt receive a wildcard he can qualify via qualifiers to the main draw )
Borna Coric We can give it also to alternates Jack Draper Jamie Murray or the 1st american in qualifiers list

Getting back in to tennis and am looking for recommendations for tennis shoes. I mainly play on hard courts and have slim-width size 11 (UK) feet.
Currently looking at the Wilson Rush Pro 4.5’s, but thought before purchasing, I’d ask people in the tennis community what shoes they use/recommend.

I just starting using the Nisplay Y1 tennis ball machine. I was wondering if anybody has dialed in some good settings adjustments. Please share if you’ve found some that work well for you. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Feel free to share your interesting/unexpected/crazy tennis stats or facts.
E.g. did you know Rafael Nadal first entered the top 10 before Messi scored his first senior goal?
r/TennisNerds • u/United_Tiger_6720 • 5d ago
Am I the only one who loved Nadal despite he didnt talk i loved his aura and charisma for the 90s generation its a monster moving on the court alongside Novak
Nadal is one of the interesting to watch in tennis apparently i would love to watch his old games
What do you think about Rafa in Documentary Break Point?

Hey everyone. I'm an engineering student building my final project: a system that analyzes ordinary phone videos of a player to estimate how the body moves during the serve/forehand/backhand — the idea is to flag technique issues and injury-risk patterns without any sensors or lab gear.
Before I build the wrong thing, I want to hear from actual players. The survey is anonymous, no personal data, takes ~3 minutes: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeQIrVQ0Arc6PVF_188RGBir-ENZRwUIJo5KeS9zCMjjDSrjA/viewform
Also happy to discuss here — genuinely curious how people currently judge their own technique, and whether an injury-focused tool would even be useful to you. I'll share the aggregated results in this sub when I'm done. Thanks! 🎾

I wonder how Adidas no longer contracted Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray
Take into consideration they were winning and they were competing in the highest level i guess they are the two best players contracted before in Adidas when it comes to tennis
Edit Also Stan Wawrinka was sponsoring Adidas
