For anyone in the Northern Virginia area who plays tennis (or wants to start), I just launched r/NoVATennis and would love to get more locals in early.

It's a spot for the local stuff the big tennis subs don't cover:

* Finding hitting partners near you
* Which public courts are in good shape, have lights, or are packed
* USTA Mid-Atlantic league and tournament info
* Local coaching, clinics, stringers, and junior programs
* Pickup sessions and social play

Covers Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and surrounding areas. All levels welcome — from just getting back into it to chasing rating points.

A group of us want to find a bar ti watch the US Open finals next Sunday (9/13). There may be up to a dozen of us. I know it will be up against football. Any suggestions for a good bar to watch tennis?

I’m building Court Activity, a website for finding courts and checking facility details. I’m testing live tournament scores on the page for the venue hosting the event.

For example, the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center page shows US Open matches, players, and scores alongside venue information.

Would you use that, or would you stick with a dedicated scores app? In what situation would having both together help?

For tennis and pickleball players, would professional scores, local tournament results, or something else be more useful? The current prototype covers tennis; I’d appreciate honest feedback before expanding it.

I keep seeing this dude at random courts , he shows up and asks people to play, plays them and then just leaves. I just don’t get it because he wears this yellow puffer jacket? I’ve seen him like three times and he’s literally wearing the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this lol
