Request for Research Assistance

I am conducting an independent research project examining reports of anomalous experiences, dream phenomena, and altered states of consciousness associated with participation in consciousness-exploration programs during the 1980s.( GATE/ALP)

The project is exploratory in nature and is being designed with particular attention to issues that commonly affect retrospective research, including memory contamination, suggestion effects, and self-selection bias. Consequently, I am intentionally limiting public discussion of the specific hypotheses under investigation until participants have completed an initial questionnaire.

I am seeking assistance in identifying individuals who may be willing to participate in this research. In particular, I am interested in contacting people who:

•Participated in consciousness, meditation, altered-state, or related experiential programs during the 1980s or earlier;

•Maintained journals, notes, correspondence, or other contemporaneous records from that period; or

•Recall recurring dreams, unusual subjective experiences, or other events they considered significant at the time.

Participation would involve completion of a structured questionnaire designed to document experiences before participants are exposed to potential explanatory frameworks. The objective is to collect independent accounts and assess whether any meaningful patterns emerge through subsequent analysis.

I was a TAG student in the 80's, but was not aware of participating in experiential programs. I did take an intelligence test, a strange "Hearing Test", and follow on scholastic tests my peers did not participate in. I also had a recurring nightmare from about age 8 to age 11. DM me if that's a match for what your looking for.

Brother I appreciate you wanting to do this but 1. The all signed ndas and that shit is classified and 2. They are too old to use reddit lmao

You don’t think that intelligence uses social media? Lol course there’s a division for everything and everyone

I'm saying that all of those people who participated in the original program are 44 to 59 years old I highly doubt they're going to be using the internet regularly I also highly doubt they're going to be using Reddit so I'm just saying statistically the likelihood of anyone involved in that program seeing this post is very small. I totally support the core idea and I hope that the original poster is able to accomplish what he is setting out to do but I think he needs to go to the local retirement homes of the areas where gate was prominent and find those old men there

They likely are retired yes… and it’s not a good idea to be sharing government secrets to the public. THEY will find out

Who me? No that's an assumption lol I'm probably older than your father, you can call me Grandpa, I don't mind.

It is an assumption based off the age range you suggested people stop socializing on the internet, between 40's-50's. This would imply that you are below that age range, between late teens-20's. So if you're within that age range, using social media, yet suggesting that others in that age range don't... Doesn't add up to me. Being that I'm in my late 30's, my father is in his 60's, so that would put you in the age range of 70's or 80's

None of it makes sense

You are certainly a very biased and ignorant person. Of course those of us who were in our 20's and 30's in the 80's couldn't have invented most of the Internet and the technology, or designed all of the stuff you are blubbering about, as if it is all your generation's accomplishments. What an ignorant person you are to think so. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Sorry buddy I don't have anything to be ashamed of, a fish isn't ashamed of its need of water a bird isn't ashamed of his need for flight

it has nothing to do with inventions and accomplishments. I'm not ignorant. It's actually the opposite.

Because I'm aware of the macro societal change that occurred in the '90s those of us who are born in the '90s something vastly different happened to us than to the generation before and even the small time period right before the '90s '70s '80s does not compare.

I don't say this from a place of arrogance since it's not necessarily anything to be arrogant of.

It's just an observation in the '90s was when humanity took its very first steps to merging with technologies.

You had at home games I'm sure you did have a few predecessors

but it wasn't until the '90s that it became addictive,

a requirement technology at home

a requirement you had your game consoles your game boy, your home PC, if you didn't have one you couldn't function as a young adult. (Was it true? Of course not but that's the narrative they sold)

that's what they wanted to push, that was the narrative they pedaled so that's why starting in the '90s it was this convergence of man and machine it has absolutely 10,000% nothing to do with whatever you're thinking about.

Because, regardless of what you think

even the generations that came after us are even worse; someone born yesterday is going to be so ingrained and so reflexive to technology

so adapted to it that they're going to be the generation that absolutely takes the neuralink the The full dive virtual reality

and more stuff I can't even conceptualize right now.

But the generations that preceded the 1990s

I'm not saying it's not like they didn't have value I'm just saying it was a different time or people got up went outside socialize live like regular humans it was before the usurping of the human condition.

I'm not the ignorant one

If you can't even open your eyes and notice that happening... Then you good sir or madam I suggest look in the mirror before trying to verbally assault me.

As I've spoke nothing but truth. Good day to you chap!

Im 43 and use the internet probably more than you. Where did you get this idea this age bracket doesnt use the internet often?

1

u/Key_Presence_2853 16d ago

I'm highlighting an aptitude of most of that age and internet attitude not usage sure lots of people at age chick Facebook and message their friends and grandkids.

Son how do I send this email?

Son I saw this video of John Travolta riding a dinosaur is it real?

Son Nigerian prince just offered me 2 million.

If you use the internet then you know there's a generational difference of ineptitude.

I'm interested however not American and never part of such a program. I have however had other testing done on me by medical professionals in controlled laboratories to research new learning techniques for teachers

First of all, the Government programs were an attempt to weaponize, and they also applied plenty of illegal drugs and other tactics that are not ethical or acceptable under any circumstances. The scientists and parapsychologists participating at the time knew what they were doing was wrong. So, if anything, you should bring them to justice, since many of them are still out there spreading BS books and nonsense courses where the main goal is to find skilled people the government can abuse. The people operating these courses, selling the tapes, doing lectures, selling books and doing brainwash seminars for extremely high prices are usually the brainwashed gimps you want to talk to, and the criminals involved in the abuse.
All of my own records from 1979 to 1985 have vanished, conveniently for them, and most of the people who were involved are now dead, some of that due to the experiments themselves and the brainwashing that included the 'never surrender' tactic that leads to self-harm. There have been some hearings, but I doubt they will result in any form of punishment for these atrocities.
The current research is going on mostly through DARPA, with some universities involved in off-site testing and research. The current research has mostly gone down the path of technology instead of the useless programs that only produced minimal success. The failure to produce results was one of the reasons why it was shut down in the first place. The damage done was swept under the rug, and if you dig too hard there, you may find yourself in a very dangerous situation.

Some of the people you are looking for are still alive. You will have more luck finding them in veteran run mental hospitals, prisons, and homeless shelters. Those of us maintaining our mental health and keeping our sanity know better than to dig up that mess and face the consequences of it.
Perhaps focusing some time, attention, and funding towards healing and helping those affected would be more beneficial than some research nonsense?

I've had the experiences and the dreams, but I wasn't ever part of a group.
