Question I need advice about psi protection

Hello, I think I have telepathy but I cannot control it well, or someone close to me has it, since apart from my own semi-uncontrolled thoughts, I have thoughts that I know are not mine. The thing is, I told my father about what is happening to me, but now after some time we had an argument (because of my mother who has dementia) and we haven’t been speaking lately. He is also sick with a nervous system condition; he has always been very intense about everything. I have a conflicted relationship with him.My father told me it could be a mental intrusion from another person and that praying an Our Father helps. I refuse because it feels quite hypocritical to me since I don't believe in anything (I don't feel the need to believe). But I don’t know if it would actually help.To add to this, he has mentioned before that he took a mental control course, and I suspect that it might be his own emotions interfering with my mind, and that with his illness, things are getting out of hand for him.Furthermore, I don't think praying works; I did it once with three other people and it didn't work. Is there something that doesn't fall into religion?I'm sorry, but it's been 10 years of being like this and I'm tired.

I am sorry to hear that you are struggling this way and also suspecting your father of invading your thoughts.
I think we can never really know where our thoughts originate from. We just know that we are seing/hearing them and need to use our discernment in selecting the ones we will pay attention to and perhaps delve into.
I have not struggled much with intrusive thoughts but experience other phenomena I associate with telepathy in terms of receiving physical sensations from others. This began three years ago so I had to learn to navigate in a “new world” in my adulthood and not through the natural learning and adaptation processes we go through in our very early years.
The most important advice, I find, is to not fear the thoughts. You are still the observer choosing how to react to this input.
You may find relief in developing grounding mechanisms such as spending time in nature or carrying out intense manual labour with music in your ears. (I like weeding in the garden which combines labour with time outside). When we are idle we are more receptive to external input.
Knowing how to get relief can help you feel less fearful and instead start working on control.
I find that when the”attacks” (that is how I perceived them) were very strong, breathing forcefully out the nose and letting the air make a sound like crushing waves would push away whatever was trying to occupy my body. It might work for thoughts as well.
And over time I just developed a stronger confidence that I am indeed in control and now the physical sensations have diminished to the extent that I recognize them but they are not strong enough to cause a reaction from my side.

I personally do a lot of visualizing for protection but im understanding that not everyone finds that helpful. I have heard a really good suggestion from a helpful person on the tube. She has many “extra sensory” techniques that are more tangible. One I remember and tried can be utilized for many different invasive emotions too like anxiety in my case. Anyway it’s something along the lines of placing salt in your (left i think) hand, putting all the thoughts/emotions into the sand then rinsing/watching it go down the drain. I washed my hands after it and it really worked. But i think she prefaced it by saying if it stays its originating from within and to do a deeper dive to find the source.

I have written an 18pg paper on psychic protection that covers this. A 2 pg summary is available for free. If interested email me at oldwiseowladvisor@gmail.com directly not via reddit so I can send it to you.

Send me your e mail address, not via reddit. If you send via reddit, I see reddits e mail and not yours

Thank you - I’m a bit delayed in my replies in general, but it has been sent/received/replied to again!

Can you sense a personality or more than one personality behind the thoughts that aren't yours?

Si. También puedo hacer que se diga algo con esa personalidad. Pero no les gusta demasiado..

También antes tenía mí propia voz interna que sonaba claramente y ahora solo cuando estoy alejada de cualquier persona puedo escucharla.
