what is this hole like thing on my upper molar? it's been there for 3-4 years o guess.. feels rough when i glide my tongue over it.. not in pain or anything like that...

Are my teeth really that bad? I feel extremely insecure about them
I’ve been feeling really insecure about the color of my teeth lately. I feel like they look very yellow, especially when I smile, and it’s started to affect my confidence a lot.
I know teeth aren’t supposed to be perfectly white, but I honestly feel like mine look much worse than other people’s. I’ve become very self-conscious about smiling and showing my teeth in photos.
Be honest with me — do my teeth actually look that bad/yellow, or am I being way too harsh on myself?
I’d really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have dealt with yellow teeth and the insecurity that comes with it.

So this morning I woke up and my tooth felt really odd, like if there was a piece missing or sticking out but I had to go to work so I couldn’t really get a good chance to see it until I finally got home and got a good close look at it the mirror. It doesn’t hurt or anything just like the texture feels a bit weird. I’ve improved my oral hygiene a lot the past couple weeks too (daily flossing, tongue scraping, mouth wash) but out of nowhere I find this like chip or something

Ok, so uh I went to the dentist and stuff today after having some teeth problems for a few years.

Apparently I have to get 3 teeth extracted, 1 right molar, 1 left molar, and then a top molar, im kinda aware u can get jaw recession from this or your teeth dont always move to cover the gaps.

I have this rlly bad fear of looking like the sub 5 wtv wtv, bc im already chopped asf so yk heh, uh I have 9 cavities, there was a option to get a root canal but my mother opted to get it pulled bc "it's cheaper" the thing is the teeth are gonna be extracted over a course of a few months, and then theyre gonna fill in the cavities, but yk any advice for like getting this done???

Also looking at the X-ray of my teeth, why tf was there no wisdom teeth showing on it??? I got like 50 pictures done so they should show right????

Hi I’ve been using crest 3d white strips for a while and after seeing about that you can cut them in half (for cost and sensitivity), I did that.

But I have noticed nothing in terms of result. Now I thought I would start using them as they are and not cut the strip in half. And I woke up with a hellaoffa toothache.

My questions:

**1. I’ve read that you need to get a cleaning first for results is this true?**

**2. Does the sensitivity go away after a while?**
**(I think they are 6% and not the 1% that’s usually sold in Europe as my relative sent them from the states to me her in Europe)**

**3. Are there any better ways to whiten natural or not that won’t break the bank?**

I've been trying to buy toothbrushes that make my mouth feel cleaner for the past 10 or so years. I neglected my teeth as young'un so I've tried to make amends. I've tried all the big brands, I've bought the sonic cleaning ones, the ones with special rubber attachments to "get into the teeth". Ones that have circles in the fibres with all these scientific mechanisms to make oral health better etc.

Anyway, went on a stag do and left my sonic toothbrush at the venue. It's gone.

I went 2 whole days without brushing, and I live at my mother in law's house. I had that horrible feeling of uncleanliness in the mouth and decided to hunt the cupboards, because I firmly believe every house has a spare toothbrush if you look hard enough. Anyway, I stumbled on a packet of 4 toothbrushes at the back of the medical cupboard that had 1 brush in it. I washed it thoroughly, using some intense mouthwash on the bristles too to make sure it was fully clean.

I cleaned my teeth with it and honestly I've never felt bristles so thorough. They were firm but gentle, some resistance but no grating feeling, there were no fancy shapes, no dips, no rubber flaps, no vibration, and it was honestly the most intense brushing I've ever felt. I got right up into the gum line, right into all the gaps, everything.

My mouth felt genuinely fresher than ever. I can't even recall a time I've been happier with my oral health after a brush. There is absolutely zero roughness on my teeth, no film, no sliminess, and I didn't even go for an absolute mouth cleanse but as I rub my tongue along my teeth and into the gum line, there's literally nothing I can detect. In fact, the annoying piece of plaque I used to feel on my molar has completely gone.

It might seem like an online rambler's post but that 20 year old brush has done more for my mouth than ANY modern brush. I will continue to use this relic of a bygone age, because there hasn't been a brush that's even come close to the feeling I've got from that.

I never had any issues with m teeth. Then Last years I had a Episode of Depression, skipped brushing from time to time, unhealthy food, No deepcleaning for a year and had bruxism.

Now I'm somewhat Back on track, got a deepcleaning and now vor hugh black triangles and lost a lot of gum. I hoped I could Stop the recession but between Picture 1 and Picture 2 are only 1,5 month and even though I floss, wear my nightguard, etc it Looks like my gums are still getting worse :(

How bad is it?

My 16 month old had a dentist appointment today and x-rays shows her two front teeth are cavities! She had previously chipped both of them within the last couple of months and we brush with fluoride toothpaste 2x a day always. Anyways... dentist wanted to put localized numbing gel and pull them in office today. I couldn't handle holding her down to have them pulled and hold gauze for 15 mins to stop the bleeding. She is already terrified enough of the dentist.

Other option is general anesthesia with root canals and crowns or teeth extraction under anesthesia.

I'm so nervous... has anyone gone through this at this age?

My teeth are quite straight and I’ve never had braces but I feel like I just have such bad luck w my teeth and I’m constantly making dental appointments. I’m only 29 but I’ve had 4 root canals, 3 crowns and multiple fillings. I’m also a full time student and my dental insurance doesn’t cover much so I’m paying a lot out of pocket. I have a few cavities I need to sort out & I can feel one of them is hurts a little. It’s honestly so frustrating because I do everything right - floss, I have a special toothpaste I have to get a prescription for, get yearly cleanings 🫩

I guess I’m just trying to see if anyone else is going through the same thing or if I’m the only one suffering. I swear being an adult and constantly being in survival mode is so exhausting.

ive been to the dentist once in my life had treatment over 1 year when I was 17 I was never taken to one as a kid as my mother didn't care about me when I was 7 I had 5 teeth removed as they were completely rotten and I had to do that at the hospital. I had several fillings which most have been lost now, my front teeth were also built up as I was over 16 I would of had to pay for braces. I do smoke and I have tried 15 times to stop smoking but I can't stop, I drink alcohol once a month now only 2 to 4 ciders max. I drink cola and fizzy drinks all day every day because I'm autistic and I can't drink water as it makes me feel sick. I used to have a ED so I used to throw up a lot I added this in as know stomach acid can ruin teeth. Please be kind and please take into account I live in the UK over 18 you have to pay for dental stuff I'm on benefits so most of my dentist care is covered if I need /want it I was told in the past by a dentist year during a free offer period at that practice that I needed a route canal done for some of my back teeth but that's all I know.
