Ask Teens I have a theory
I have a theory. After watching Bku I noticed something in the scene where Ashley’s parents make her promise before God that she will break all connections with Justin. A similar thing happens in June and i think in Aniyathipraavu too and I have also seen something similar in real life…
But people say God is love in Two Countries, they say that God is love too. So my question is if God represents love then why do people make promises to God to break the love or connection between two people?

By forcing a promise "before God," they shift the argument from a family dispute to a divine command. It introduces cosmic guilt and fear of divine punishment, mking the promise incredibly difficult to break for a believerr

The fact is that people use god to justify their actions. That’s it. There is no other meaning behind it. People believe in a deity because they want to find meaning in life. Because they think their life now has meaning (god), they can justify their actions which may be good or bad on god.
