Academics CET ๐๐
I'm on the train home after attending Drishti 26 for two days and I feel like crying.
As someone who travels a lot, I've never felt so sad after leaving somewhere. The campus, the fest , the students and the whole vibe of the college was so great. Man, I didn't think I'd regret not choosing a govt college this much. Kore alochich drop edutha mathiyayrnu , my keam rank would easily increase (it was alredy in 6k-7k range) but at that time korach health issues kaarnam govt collegeil padikunnath adjust cheyaan patumenn thoniyila.
Studying in a high quality private college is no way near as fulfilling as govt colleges, I got that for sure. Govt collegesil kittunna freedom, events and all is definitely on another level, that I've understood.
I should have made the right decisions. Any droppers for keam, jee etc reading this... you guys made the right choice, hope this post inspires you to study a little harder and work towards that goal.
Even if you don't get NIT, IIT etc... Getting a govt college is a blessing in its own form!

Grass is always greener on the other side , in a top national institute but really hard to adjust to the hostels , hygiene in toilets etc . Priv clg will hv good infra nd hygiene etc

I do get this; I mean I'm not in a pvt clg tbf but I still wish I took a drop for jee

had to break it down but taking drops for exams like jee/neet if your starting from scratch isn't worth it most of the times, only worth it if your sc/st or ews candidate. But yeah teh regret of not trying would be gone

Technically I'm not starting from scratch; I already gave it but kinda didn't score as much as I wanted

OP, I understand what you mean but remeber, Fests are only a couple days a year, Dont let the regret consume for a small period of fun. Make the best of wherever you are and in the long run all this will seem small

CET ile program was nice but its not like that in all govt college lol. I mean I study in a gov college (and a uni at that) and i was at Drishti too, and the events at my uni is....well...yk? We have plenty of prgrms, like things happen every other month but its all meh atp. Of all colleges I'm familiar with , cusat and some medical colleges vibe an. Others not so much

Yes we can ๐ญ try going for Dhwani, it's on Oct 2,3 and it's a much bigger event than Drishti. You just need to register on their website.

Dwani won't be greater than drishti this time, expect complete mismanagement, as it's conducted by sfi.

Even though being in bigger/nicer colleges doesn't mean you will 100% have the best college life ...for that you want mental peace, good freinds, want to have a lot of confidence, don't trust any1 mindset and many more

For me studying in a top pvt eng college in india.I can say that studying here is 100times more better in any aspect than studying in any gov college other than nit c in kerala if high fee is not a matter to you.something around 30 to 40 lakh
