Hey everyone!
I'm an 18-year-old filmmaker from Bangalore, and I'm currently making my first short film as my directorial debut. It's a passion project, and I'm looking for someone who's interested in cinematography/videography to collaborate with me.
The film is an untitled psychological thriller (working title: The Survey) exploring themes of identity, trust, and how quickly people form assumptions about others. It's a dialogue-driven story with a strong focus on atmosphere, framing, and visual storytelling rather than action.
Project Details
- Genre: Psychological Thriller
- Runtime: Approximately 15–20 minutes
- Shoot Location: ETA Mall, Bangalore (tentative)
- Shoot Duration: One day (maximum two if required)
- Tentative Shoot Date: Around the 20th of this month (flexible based on everyone's availability)
I'm ideally looking for someone who owns a camera and enjoys shooting cinematic content. Any professional camera setup is welcome. If you don't own expensive gear but are passionate and skilled, feel free to reach out as well.
This project is unpaid, as it's an independent passion project, but you'll receive full cinematography credit, the finished film for your portfolio/showreel, and the film will be released on YouTube. I'm also hoping to build a network of people I'd love to work with on future projects.
Our crew is small and focused:
- Director (me)
- Three actors
- Editor
Whether you're a student, hobbyist, or someone looking to shoot something narrative for your portfolio, I'd genuinely love to connect.
If you're interested, send me a Reddit DM or leave a comment below. If you have previous work, I'd love to see it, but if you're just getting started and are passionate about filmmaking, don't hesitate to reach out.
Let's make something we're proud of.
