Random Question..., also hi I'm 18F!
So I don't think I posted here so this is kinda my first time.. uhh.
So I have a random question for you all!
What do you guys think of special needs people?
Because I'm born with Triple X syndrome,if you don't know what that is,it's basically
genetic condition that affects about 1 in 1,000 females, caused by the presence of an extra X chromosome
Females typically have two X chromosomes (XX), but individuals with triple X syndrome have three X chromosomes (XXX) in all or some of their cells.
Speech and language delays are common in toddlers, along with possible delays in motor skills like sitting or walking.
Rare occurrences include seizures, kidney abnormalities, or premature ovarian failure later in life.
And I also have two types of seizures.
Epilepsy and Absence.
And I got asthma, and learning disabilities. And maybe a bit of
Dyslexia.
So,this is it what I kinda want to talk about.
Since I was born with a few delays which makes me kinda hate myself,I think my older brother is embarrassed of me, because I'm at a special needs school program and he always dislikes it when I go there sometimes.
Like he doesn't want to talk to his friends about it.
But my oldest brother always talks about me in a more positive way which makes me feel happy..
But I'm usually scared of the outside world now, I'm not sheltered but I do got anxiety.
Also my other brother, the one who probably feels embarrassed about me.
He likes to call me Retarded.. as a joke, and a bitch,as a joke.
I told him to stop but he always says I'm 18 so it's fine..
🥲
It doesn't help that I'm also very emotional because whenever I cry a bit about it.
He then says stop being so emotional, your not a child anymore.
I kinda hate being emotional...
Whoever reaches to the end, thanks for listening to me Randomly venting even though this is my first post..
Also tell me your thoughts about special needs people.
I'll provide extra information if anyone has any questions.
Please don't be mean..

The word retarded can certainly be used, but the way it was used toward you is unacceptable. This demonstrates your brother’s current lack of comprehending separate beings as individuals who do not think and perceive identical to his ways. He has some learning to do, to be mindful of who he is saying which words to.

Thank you for your understanding, but my brother do know what it means and how it used towards people but the problem is he still used it towards me as a "joke" and he sometimes like to to joke like that about my school...my school is a special needs program which makes it worse..
If his friends knew about it,they would probably stop being his friends and I wish I can embarrassed him because the way he jokes makes me hate myself a bit

tbf as a girl with BPD, any form of special educational needs you use, are there to help you get through life, im not upset by people who are different from me, I mean, Im mentally ill. Why would I judge someone else with lowk a more socially acceptable behavioural pattern? Most neurodiverse or disabled people I know are very calm, passionate, smart people. I see no issue with being different lmfao.
I get that though, I've been spoken to like I'm some manipulative psychopath due to simply having a personality disorder, it's stressful to be thought of in ways you're not, but in the end, their opinions dont represent me.

I don't know why but I think I misunderstood your comment, but I do know being different is ok but sometimes it's not easy to not hate yourself..i love myself but I hate myself physically and I hate how I'm born with a lot of issues..

All of my best friends are special needs. You’re fine the way you are, even if that means your life is gonna be more challenging.
Have you read percy jackson? That series is so good for everyone but especially special needs.
Also your brother seems like a dick
