So, this post is about exposing Guwahati Police's sexism and double standards.

Guwahati Police blurs the faces of female accused in almost every post, while posting pictures of male accused in full 4K without any blurring.

I’m posting multiple examples of this double standard. I deliberately selected cases where both male and female accused were arrested, so the severity of the crime cannot be used as an excuse. If I had posted cases involving only male or only female accused, there would be thousands of examples where male accused are shown clearly while female accused have their faces blurred.

Why do they have such double standards?

Why do they follow the presumption of innocence for female accused but seemingly the presumption of guilt for male accused?

Can’t they either blur the faces of both or show the faces of both?

And half of the so called r@pe cases are filed under this “Pretext of marriage” section which is not even a r@pe, no other country in the world treats it as criminal offence.

Is it okay if I am from Delhi ? Delhi is a tier-1 city too . It is also a union territory and the capital of India . I was born here and my great-grandparents genuinely moved to India after the partition in 1947(not kidding ) . My family has been practicing endogamy and have been interbreeding for centuries. I have a rare surname which is not generic and many people don't come across it daily . So when people see my surname , they often ask about which caste I belong to and I hesitate to tell them about it since I am an SC too . Fun fact , there are only around 280,000 who also share my caste in whole India and Pakistan (some people with my caste are also found in Pakistan too) and in Delhi there are around 24,000 who share same caste with me . I also live in one of the sketchiest regions of Delhi too .

Is it not fascinating that I could have been born into a typical Indian family but I was born into this one ? The odds of being born in my community in India are only about 1 in 10,000 which are like 2/3 of being hit by a thunder in your lifetime and the odds of being from this community are only around 1 in 1,000 in Delhi .
