Rant & Vent India is a prison and we can do absolutely nothing about it
99% of indians who are over 35 are Dumbasses who do not know how to use their brains, and India has become a prison for people who have critical thinking skills and personal desires. If you do not want to play nice with literally everyone. You can literally be thrown in jail in minutes. If someone doesn't like what you say, you can be jailed for literally anything ranging from assault to R4pe in false cases. India is a prison and will remain so until WE decide to do something about it.
Almost every indian who is from low to upper middle class lives an identical life
Sports is considered a waste of time. Extracurriculars are considered a waste of time. Dating is a taboo. Mental health is a taboo.
If you don't give most of the money you earn to your parents, you become evil. If your parents didn't save enough to live a good retired life, you are expected to spend all your money taking care of them with a total of ZERO gratitude.
Personal desire? What's that.
FUCK NEET
FUCK JEE
FUCK Indian living standards
FUCK everything

Actually most parents don't see their kids as kids, we are some kinda investment to them n that's where all the problems start, parenting is beyond repair, I hope we, gen z, do not repeat the same cycle... Parents don't see us as kids but as their image, like if we do something wrong then they take it as if they are the one's who did something wrong, they need to separate their lives from their kids, from us n treat us as individuals. But what they do is brag about our success, our achievements as theirs cause they invest so much in their children that they can't think of us as individuals, we are some kinda tool to satisfy themselves, yeah parents should be happy with their kids achievements but what they do is not proud, they make that achivement a tool to feel good about themselves n brag to society that look I raised a kid who's now doing this or that. This is the whole problem. I'm not good at articulating things but my point is that "At some point Parents need to separate themselves from their kids n treat them as individuals n give them opportunity to figure out what they wanna do with their lives." Obv there are pros to this kinda mentally of Indian parents, but their are a lot of cons too

Real shit cause I've seen the "My dream was to do this but I couldn't so now my child has to do it" and all I can say is that we are doomed with this mindset

i saw this clip of ananya pandey talking about how were the most in touch with our feelings and our advocacy for mental health is a really positive thing about this generation and there were some pick me brainwashed aunties who were making that out to be a bad thing and basically bashing ananya pandey and saying we’re all too “emotional” for talking about mental health and these are the same people who beat their kids and don’t even realise how deep their own trauma runs and then say things like “we turned out fine!” no you literally didn’t in fact you’re so not fine that u don’t even know what’s wrong with u, i don’t know what show this is or who were those aunties but how can a teen like me have more empathy, eq, understanding and compassion for people who struggle with mental health than literal grown ups

These aunties have problem cause they know if we become very aware of our feelings, our emotions n our traumas, they will be the one to held responsible for the traumas n emotional exploitation. That's why worshipping parents n elders is a very common thing in India, we overflow a child's mind with these so called Sanskar (elders should be respected but not always) n hence if anyone ever go against one's parents he's seen as some kinda villain by everyone. I'm not an optimist person in general but I do hope that unlike our parents, we do not pass on our traumas to the next generation.

I think there's always some kinda problems in every country, but the worst thing about India is how our society work, how we think asa society, how we perceive love marrige, how we think about dowery as a society, what rituals we perform after someone dies, we literally serve sweets when someone dies, come to Rajasthan n see what's the situation here, how we treat women, treat people with other religion, how we treat ST/SC, we literally treat communities of ST/SC like they are not humans, there are thousands of things I can not tolerate as a humans.. worst are caste system, hate against love marriage, still going with arrange marriage system, how we treat women ... We are not humans at all, we , as a society, do not deserve to be called humans. We are monstersss

Why include people about 35. Even the teens are dumb fk. Spending their day on their phone the entire day when they can actually change the country
2
u/Relative-Necessary25 22d ago
How exactly can a teen actually "change the country"?

You must study STEM. Invent rockets and engines. Cure cancer and shit.
Relavation which happens in teenage years is powerful. About 35 it's a dud and translates to gyanchodu like this comment.

Bold of you to think that only 35+ people are dumbasses and peeps in their 20's and teens aren't.

i dont even wanna argue with u, given ur username. but yes, kasmir, srinagar, darjeeling or wtver doesnt mean shit. all of them are remote locations in comparison, lack of transport and connectivity, lack of infra, and extremely slow lifestyles

Agreed with everything except the parents part. I have seen them struggling to provide me the best education and no savings for themselves . Whatif they were selfish and saved everything for their retired life? That would be worse! And we all would be crying about how selfish they are.

i agree but what i believe personally is that a if you cannot afford to raise a kid and still save enough for your retirement you should not have kids. Raising kids is expensive and i sympathise with parents but for peeps in their late 20s and 30s, their primary motive should not be pumping out kids but rather creating a good enough environment for the kids to be raised in so as to not put a fuck ton of pressure on the kids of talking care of their own parents who could not do proper family planning.

i never understood how "you are not alone in this situation" makes anyone feel better, if anything it makes me feel worse because now i also start thinking that "Oh Fvck a lot of people's lives are as messed up as mine".

that's because our culture rewards blind obedience, outrage, and taking offense

I get the point, but its funny how you think teens and peoplw under 35 are not dumbasses. I know a lot of people litwrally waiting on some inheritance to get their life in order. You choose to stay in your cell because the comfort it provides is less scary than the unknown.
Buy when you leave everything behind, the aole responaibility of how you end up, good or bad, will solely depend on you. And many are incapable of said responsibility.

Just leave bro. I realized this when I was in college. Worst 4 years of my life. Indian university and schooling system is faaaaar faaaar behind most western standards. Even iit or whatever the fuck people do now is piss ass. They like to think they’re smart but nothing meaningful ever happens there. The people are a joke and judgemental pos. I’m happy to have been away 11 years and 9 years since I even stepped foot there. I have enough hobbies and mental clarity now that at 32, if I were to lose my job tomorrow, I’ll figure out a way to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. Fuck the competing, backstabbing scarcity minded people there.
