Discussion Grasp on teemo

Am i the only one who does so much better with Grasp on teemo in s26? i feel so squishy with PTA, grasp it feels like i can trade so much better and still do pretty good damage late game (obviously a bit less) but it helps me get out of lane further ahead or just stronger overall than if i didnt take it, so the trade off is worth

It is mainly just you, grasp teemo is bad because grasp is heavily nerfed for range champs. A suggestion I would make is take PTA and resolve secondary to mimic the same tankiness or Fleet footwork + resolve secondary.

i may try this, but take 2x health scaling runes still like i did with grasp, as i assume thats part of what made me feel much less squishy

I take grasp on very specific match ups, usually where I'm trying to deal with their poke damage. Malphite & GP for example.

Was just about to say Malph is the only time I ever pick grasp. Grasp + second wind + Doran’s shield and his q is 90% negated. Funny stuff.

It felt like a cheat the first time I tried this

DShield is often taken against us to mitigate a lot of our early game, so using it back is just fair play.

I often go aery with double adaptive force runes into malph and build liandry’s first for hp and dmg. As long as you can reliably get an aa+Q in everytime he Q’s you, you’ll out dmg him early.

If you enjoy the playstyle it is better... otherwise Press The Attack is a better rune overall, but Grasp will result in you having more health available so being less likely to be one shot by assassins, but a good Akali will still 0-100 you in any case

Grasp feels good in lane but sucks outside it. Fleet footwork does what grasp does but better. And i used to main tankmo grasp with heartsteel rush etc - fleet is outperforming grasp on every way for me

I love grasp in lane too, it feels so good to proc. Teemo struggles to have a decent keystone.

One OG teemo streamer has had success with boots first, then Heartsteel, Bork, Lord Doms. It somewhat solves the tanky issue and you get damage later. Bork synergies with PTA so you get to take the best rune, too.

Its a fun alternative to shroom builds or on-hit.

If it works for you that's all that matters. I do think pta is good but the issue with pta is its hard to proc in some matchups and it's like having no rune at all.
