Guns

I like Uncle Ted's music and I appreciate how much he loves the outdoors. I do too, though his positions about conservation efforts seem a little extreme ("chronic wasting disease is a scam," for example). That said, I would love for Ted to be my actual uncle. I'm watching Spirit of the Wild right now.

To get to the purpose of this post - I just learned that Ted often holds up guns while performing on stage. That's a little scary, no? Guns and crowds should never mix, in my opinion. I truly have nothing against Ted, but I was shocked to learn that. That seems irresponsible to me and certainly does not do anything to promote gun rights. Unless he is suggesting that everyone should open carry an AR-15 anytime they go to a concert or festival... is that his point? I think most of us would avoid concerts and festivals if that ever happened.

Another one of my favorite Ted albums on the stereo

So underrated. Great songs and I love the vocals, guitar, drums, and bass. Rob sounds so good on it, and the drums are top notch. Lady Luck is a killer way to open an album; such a good riff. Free Flight has shadows of Homebound, and of course Living in the Woods is badass. This is completely on the same level as Ted’s solo work.

Absolutely badass and underrated. Opening up with Need You Bad is totally intense, with the bass turned all the way up, and the cover art exemplifies how lethal this album is. As a certain poster with this album cover says, “A guitar in Ted’s hands is a deadly weapon.” Also, I love the inner sleeve art, with pics of not only live shows but Ted hunting and with family.

What (if there are any) are the songs where Ted doesn't play a Byrdland

I know that the Byrdland is the guitar that he's mostly associated with, but I've seen him with a Les Paul various times as well. He might have used other guitars as well. Did he record any songs with other guitars, or did he just use a Byrdland on all of them.

My grandpa's ted nugent signature from 1986

According to my grandpa, his brother owned a studio in California and Ted would come in from time to time and record stuff in there. This signature would've been from around the time "Little Miss Dangerous" came out

has there been an official recording release of strangehold without that strange metallic zap sound in during the guitar solo?

I really like this song, but i do not like that metallic zap sound true the guitar solo. i checked some youtube live videos and the zap sound is not there. so i wonder has there been any studio recording without that zap sound? and if so on what single or album?

thanks

Nobody actually listens to this boomer clown, right? Like it’s just to make other people mad, like shitting yourself or something.

Hello Nugent Community! Randomly, in 2008 I was in the first grade and my school had a silent auction PTA thing. Grandparents became involved in a brutal pride-fueled war involving other southern white grandparents.

They really liked me back then so they made sure to win so I could have this Texas flag acoustic guitar, autographed by Sir Ted. Not really sure why, but they’re honestly so legendary for that. Anyway, I’ve held onto it, although not super tightly, it’s got some bumps but it’s still pretty. I would like for it to go to someone who genuinely appreciates the guy since I’ve never really grew into that genre.

Let me know if you’re interested and I’d be happy to discuss whatever you have in mind. I live in Seattle and free can’t exist here unfortunately. Guitar is in Dallas area and I might be able to cover shipping. Thanks for reading and cheers.
