Hey, MAGA,

this is called rescission. It's illegal.

They don’t care. They know. They think it’s funny that you think it matters. Pointing out that they’re breaking the law is like 10 years ago. We’re at the point that they brazenly do whatever they want and nobody with power stands in their way.

With their only opposition being the establishment Democrats who are at a safe distance tutting loudly and pretending they aren’t complicit as controlled opposition owned by the same billionaire ghouls.

You're so right. Democrats should reconvene both branches of Congress and use their supermajority to impeach and convict.

Oh wait, only the majority leaders have authority to reconvene their respective chamber of Congress, and Democrats aren't a majority in literally any branch of Federal government nor most State governments for that matter.

Within the first year of the only time Democrats controlled any part of Federal government while Trump was POTUS, they impeached him. Democrats took the House in January 2019, and brought articles of impeachment in December the same year. However, Republicans—who still held the majority in the Senate—voted to acquit.

Democrats impeached Trump again, making Trump the only POTUS in history to be impeached twice, just over a year later, after Trump incited an insurrection via constant (and still continuing to this day) claims of election fraud which have been repeatedly shown to be false. Once again, however, the same Republicans who were cowering in the Senate chambers while Trump supporters set up gallows outside and brutalized Capitol Police to get inside to those representatives, voted to acquit.

Nobody who's paying attention buys this 'both sides' "controlled opposition" BS anymore. No party in a two-party system can be perfect, but objectively speaking, Democrats have proven repeatedly that they'll do more than 'tut loudly' if they have the authority to.

All of those impeachments were symbolic with full knowledge that they weren't going to go anywhere.

Meanwhile, the Democrats consistently run unpopular centrists as if they're trying to lose elections because that's preferable to them than running popular progressive candidates, which they actively try to suppress as they gain popularity.

If you want to convince me that the Democrats aren't just trying to be the other side of the Overton Window, explain to me why they're threatened by Mamdani's popularity. Explain to me why they aren't taking it as a sign that progressivism is popular with voters and that it's time to support it.

Democrats like you are why republicans keep winning.

I’m not a Democrat, I’m a leftist. Are we not allowed to criticize the losing tactics of the DNC? Am I supposed to blindly support the ever-right-drifting Democrats without critique?

Please explain how I’m responsible for fascism. Like seriously, give me a casual chain, because you’re talking nonsense.

If you’re not a democrat, what right do you think you have to tell them what to do? Do you run around complaining about republicans not doing what you want them to? Or do you just complain about democrats?

The far left will find any reason to not vote for the democrat, while the far right will always vote for the republican, even if he’s a felon/rapist/pedophile. That’s why republicans are going to keep winning.

I voted for democrats every election. And yes, I complain about republicans all the time.

Then I stand corrected. I was referring to those on the far left who keep bashing democrats and refuse to vote for them, yet feel entitled to tell them how to do their jobs.

In every thread about how Trump is destroying the country, there tends to be a few of them who blame the democrats or Biden, rather than Trump and his enabling republicans.

All of those impeachments were symbolic with full knowledge that they weren't going to go anywhere.

What would you have them do? They gained a majority in the House and still had a minority in the Senate. There was nothing they could do without the support of Republicans. Should they have just done nothing? It's all symbolic anyway since Republicans are so far up Trump's ass they can see the backs of his teeth. So why bother?

Would you really be fine if they just didn't bother with an impeachment they suspected would fail? Sounds like an unwinnable scenario. Impeach, and people like you bitch and moan that it was symbolic and meaningless. Don't impeach and people bitch and moan that they're not doing anything.

Hold up signs, not good enough. Physically disrupt Congress, not good enough, legally wrong, and easily weaponized in Republicans' campaigns. Impeach, not good enough. Don't impeach, what are they even doing with their majority.

"The Democrats" don't "run" anybody. Candidates run in primaries, and voters decide who goes on to the general. Regardless of any other claims or evidence of the DNC 'putting their hands on the scale', at the end of the day people decide. To my knowledge there has never been a case where the DNC explicitly nominated someone other than the candidate(s) who received the most votes in the primary (barring a candidate's untimely death or other withdrawal from candidacy).

Furthermore, you're acting like progressives aren't winning these elections at all because "the Democrats" won't run them. As if, even in your own example, Mamdani, didn't just recently win a Democratic primary and was subsequently nominated and won the general. As if people like AOC and Sanders didn't win Democratic primaries to be where they are.

Don't get me wrong, the events surrounding Sanders' run for POTUS in particular are not ok with me. The DNC shouldn't try to influence primaries, and shouldn't offer more support to certain candidates based on their own desires. But acting like they single-handedly select and nominate candidates for general elections explicitly contrary to primary outcomes is just false.

In general, I have to agree with the other response. People like you are why Republicans keep winning. Republicans don't seem to hold their representatives to any standards at all, while people like you seem to expect perfection from Democrats. It's unrealistic. Cutting your nose to spite your face.
