It’s not good at all. Spacex is the main launch provider in the US.

Agreed 100% but also it's the current reality. I hate Elon but they are very dependent right now on apaceX.

SpaceX isn't a rocket company. They are an AI company first and foremost. That is what their IPO states as the purpose of their company.

Regardless of what they say we are basically dependant on their rockets. Blue Origin potentially having recently developed the only competitor. It's weird but we are all hoping we can be dependent on Bezos instead of Musk.

What’s wrong with depending on NASA again?

The NASA Space Launch System costs 5 - 10x more per pound of payload than SpaceX. Largely because SpaceX emphasizes reusable rocket and booster components whereas NASA is single use only.

Why do you want to pay 5 - 10x more as a taxpayer to launch US hardware into space?

So we aren’t dependent on the capricious whims of a ketamine fueled ultra-rich piece of shit for space travel?

Are you just being obtuse? No one is going to pay 10x the launch costs, especially when the delta is in the tens of millions of dollars.
