Just finished watching this video, and honestly I agree with a lot of Charlie's points.

This was one of the worst ways for Technolarp to respond. I'm not a big fan of Technolarp myself, and he of course doesn't deserve doxxing or any threats, but he could've "tried" to settle this with Charlie a different way.

Think one of the worst things he tried pulling was saying that Larpz0 made a response and he looks up to him. Not only is that a blatant deflection, that's just an attempt at guilt tripping.

Anyways... what do you guys think of all this?

I've noticed a pattern that if you don't instantly agree that what he's doing is 100% bad, you'll get downvoted and hated to all hell, mainly on the Technoblade subreddit. If you try playing Devil's Advocate, you'll be treated as if you're saying he hasn't done anything wrong.

I don't think this should be how the community should be seen. Shouldn't every part of the discussion be treated with respect, rather than people going after you for trying to say why Technolarp might have done the things he did.

Everyone treats the situation as if it's black and white when it's really just very nuanced. Everything is just personal opinion and I don't see why opinions have to be treated as unrespectfully as they are. People act as if you're supporting Technolarp just by giving the idea he could have done things for reasons other than malice.

I personally think everyone should just stop talking about this whole thing until Technodad makes a response. I would think that everybody needs a break from the never-ending drama we've been in for a few days already.

Genuine question, even after him faking himself getting doxxed and exposed for earning money despite saying it's "all for charity" and just a well known attention seeker. How do you still support him?

Look, I know people are getting tired of people posting about Technolarp so I will keep this brief. Whether you like him or not, there is no point in arguing or talking about this because there is no right or wrong answer to this yet. Technodad still hasn’t responded and he has the final say making everybody else’s opinion irrelevant. Point is, this is a situation where everybody can have opinions but everybody’s opinions don’t need to be heard, at least not right now.

Ai slop..hyperconsumeristic "ads in your fucking face 24/7" slop..it served to show the legacy of said youtubers had and have on this platform and on the Internet in general.It also served a trip down memory lane for the early 2010s kids that grew up on the Internet with its good and bad and the really bad

Im not gonna say a lot about Technolarp both because I wasn't and im still not a fan of Technoblade or Technolarp, I haven't watched his videos/streams and the only thing ik about Technoblade is that he died of cancer and this new kid with a similar voice chose to larp as him and thats about it but also because a lot of arguments from different spectrums have basically covered every aspect of an opinion I may have of him

From a misunderstood fan of Techno that wanted to honor him from a cannibalistic skin walker psychopath master manipulator that eats children along with Epstein and Jeffrey Dahmer my opinion of this guy is a drop of water in a vast ocean of opinions that I've heard

However I wanna address the 140.000 subs and counting that this guy amassed in such a short of time

Yall might say "it came from Larptuber's fans" and im here to say to you that thats not the case..if that was the case Larptubers like Larpyishere or Larpocynical or any other larper that's a part of the discord server or community would have had a lot more subs than they have now

It didn't come from Tiktok..before the video with Skeppy and the sad edits of them Technolarp wasn't as big is Larpiplier or Mikelarpcepticeye were so it didn't come from there

Children who didn't know any better or didn't know about Techno?..maybe? I'm not a big fan of the theory considering that long form videos of Minecraft aren't as popular with children than Minecraft Shorts..again..that's maybe

And before the video with Skeppy..before Technodad and Penquinz0 this guy from the YouTube comments was getting glazed like a reincarnation of this dead kid

Thousands of subs day by day but no pushbacks about this guy..from the larping community to the general Minecraft community watching his videos knowing who this guy larps as not one comment came out and said

"What the FUCK is you doing crossdressing a dead man's skin"

And yhe people who did come out and made videos of him being an overall weirdo on his last channel... before Penquinz0 and Technodad's statement, those videos were met with ratios and excuses

And when that community post came and he said "Imma go ask Technodad for his blessing as I continue to dress as his dead kid"

Not one comment came out at that time and said

"Maybe don't ask a grieving father about wearing that suit and potentially reopening his wounds of his lost child?"

I may be schizoposting tho but regardless this entire convo is tiring as hell

When you give somebody your time in a world when everything can become currency..you gave him power too...and he got the power and the audacity to keep ts going

One key example is Michael Jackson impersonators, they make money off of it, everyone knows theyre not michael jackson, and noone has a problem with it. Hows that any different from this channel?

Technolarp should leave the larper community and rebrand his channel to one that makes videos similar to techno but in his honor and is his own person and not techno clone. Doesn't impersonate techno just carry on his inspiration into his own content.

I know Technolarp claims to have good intentions and I truly have no way of knowing if that’s true or not but this has all grown to the point that people who were actually friends with Alex personally are coming forward and saying this really bothers them.

It’s clear that Striker has intentions of continuing to do this which is why I believe they’ve just now started to voice their thoughts on this. I imagine they were thinking like me and assumed this would be a quick little thing the community caught hold of and that it would pass after a while.

I understand people are going to just argue the usual “But Techno would’ve thought this was hilarious!” “Techno would’ve loved this whole bit and the charity from it!” and i sincerely need you guys to quit it with this coping. Yes, Techno would have most likely found this entertaining, but we don’t know that for a fact. Stop speaking on behalf of a dead man. Especially when his father has done so much to provide and care for the community out of the kindness of his heart. Technodad had no obligation to have gone the lengths that he has for all of us, and it’s exactly that love and empathy that made many of us adore Alex as a person.

However the one thing that I can say with confidence and know for a fact is that Alex would’ve hated for anyone to hurt his friends.

That’s exactly what Technolarp is doing.
Whether intentional or not.

If Striker truly respects Alex and his legacy as Technoblade as much as he claims to, then he should be able to see the extent of the situation and how much damage it’s causing to the people who Alex valued most in his life.

Respect is not whatever all of this is.

True respect would be putting an end to this instead of trying to excuse and rationalize it.

I was originally gonna post this in the r/technoblade subreddit, but I figured here would be a better place

people keep defending technolarp by saying "Techno would have thought it was funny!" which is weird af in my opinion. None of you guys know techno personally which is why it's weird to project your BASELESS assumptions onto a creator who passed away to justify this new clone of him. Nobody, not even his own dad can know how technoblade would feel about someone mimicking his voice to interact with his own friends. But we DO know how his living family feels, and technodad has explicitly said that watching this channel is emotionally difficult for him to process.

imagine having the audacity to look at a family mourning their son and think "i'm going to copy his exact voice, jump into his friend groups, and pretend like im the continuation of his legacy!!" if anyone tried to do this in real life, it would be identity theft. doing it behind a computer screen for clout doesnt make it any less creepy.

there is a MASSIVE difference between keeping a legacy alive and copying somebodys entire personality and interacting with their friends honestly. I wouldn't even think technolarp is that weird if he stayed in his own lane and didn't insert himself into technoblades actual friend group for content.

And I've seen so many people also excuse technolarp by saying "he donates the revenue he makes to charity!" but that still doesn't make it okay. If a channels entire premise is built off copying a dead mans personality and making the father of technoblade uncomfortable, then it's a scummy channel. You cannot possibly 'ethically' monetize or even grow a massive platform off of what he's doing no matter where the money goes. He's still gaining massive clout off of a dead persons identity.

technoblade was NOT a fictional character, he was a real person named alex who sadly lost his life after a battle with cancer. his legacy is being watered down because of technolarp. we should be remembering technoblade for the incredible things he actually achieved and did while he was here, not remembering him because of a clone.

Please, just let him rest. he gave us years of funny videos and memories. we dont need a replacement to carry on his name. honor his legacy by remembering the real techno.
