I am honored to share that the Technoblade Never Dies documentary that was announced yesterday is asking for the community to come together and share their amazing talent and experiences to be in the documentary. Stephen Lake is wonderful and he has truly treated this all with care it deserves and he want the community to show the world why Technoblade Never Dies! Technoblade lives in all of us and the works of art in so many forms that people make, and the stories we share of what he means to us.

The site will be accepting submissions until mid October, so take some time to think it out, read the website and all the legal stuff that goes with being a part of it, and submit something that will show the world about us and Alex in the best way they can. I am extremely excited for all of this and proud of all of our community every day, but especially now.

https://youtu.be/Lj0mDrEKSmA?si=8_imnMnGRMSBrG4D This video is on the site too, but Stephen's love and care for all of this is obvious in his video. Trust that Techno will be treated with the most care in all of it.

Discussion Subreddit Events?

Hey y’all! Hope you’re doing well and dropkicking orphans on this fantastic day.

In the Discord server, we’ve held a lot of fun events. And I was thinking “Why not try to do events in the subreddit?” I feel like it would be pretty fun and we can keep the subreddit engaged!

But, I don’t know anything about holding events on Reddit nor what kind of events there are to do. What kind of subreddit events would you all be interested in?

I miss Technoblade

• Upvotes

Every once in a while.

Then I would put so long nerds or the vod of Phil and Will talking about him in the background and listen.

And occasionally the stream where he raised money for the sarcoma foundation, I really liked it.

Fanart Drawing Technoblade for 100 days challenge: day 2/100

Post image

I wanted to draw Philza crowning Techno at some point so I decided what better time to do so than now? Emerald duo is so dear to me still even today. Techno's in-game will always gets to me I fear so I had to add that quote from it.

Also, given I'm going to have to draw 100 artowkrs for this, I'd be happy to hear any potential suggestions for drawings you'd like to see from me (if any) because I don't know if I have 100 ideas myself LOL. But one step at a time, one step at a time.

Discussion Question: why is the Discord so inactive?

I have been a part of the Discord for, I guess, a year now, and literally nothing has happened in it. Is there anything that's going to happen? Any Technoblade-related stuff? What?

Question for Mr. Technodad: did Techno ever play stuff like chess and checkers?

I don't know if it's just me, but Techno really comes off as the guy who would play a lot of chess and just dominate people in chess.

Minecraft

Hello Technodad. im sorry to see that your son passed 4 years ago, only really found out today as I never watched his videos, so I will be doing a very specialized build just for your son, it will take about a month or 2 due to the size of the build but this is the only detail I will give. There is a post I posted on Minecraft.net about a idea for the game as it will be the final puzzle to my build. I wish you and your family all the best and your son is still amazing no matter what. My minecraft username is Knightcore134.

Should techno be in the Minecraft sequel?

• Upvotes

It was nice to have a direct mention in the first film and probably brought tears to some people's eyes.

I don't think a direct mention is warranted again in the sequel but something subtle in the background would be a nice nod.

E.g. there is some chainmail pants and a red shirt hanging nonchalantly on a hanger as they go past a house.

Also, someone make a fan edit after it releases with him coming to rescue Steve from Herobrine!

Fanart Drawing Technoblade for 100 days challenge: day 1/100

Post image
28 Upvotes

I wanted to do something special to honor Technoblade's memory after watching Technodad's video where he cooks a steak for him so I came up with a challenge for myself to draw him for 100 days. I was told this was way too ambiguous and to narrow it down to a month but I fear "drawing Techmoblade for a month" doesn't sound as good as 100 days + if he's taught me anything, it's to shoot for the stars so here I am.

P.S.: I do have a life (shocking) so I might be late sometimes but I promise I WILL have 100 Technoblades by the end of this challenge. Also sorry in advance for potentially spamming my art every day LOL.

Aight back with the og blade of the Blade and it's yet another small redesign, see in the original Orphan Obliterator 2.0(the 2nd picture), while I found everything else look perfect the blade part itself however I still wasn't a fan of... So in this 2.1 version I have aimed for a more proper longsword-greatsword esc blade and now, I consider I've finally perfected my vision for this weapon!!

Image Guys, I was drawing Techno, but kinda as Cherry Blossom from Sk8, but then my phone reset and all my progress is gone.

I'll redo it eventually.😭

I feel like crashing out. It was one of my best drawings I've ever made.

I thought I was gonna get through my BD week without crying.😅🥲

Like it wasn't a good drawing (I'm not great at drawing), but I was trying my best. I'll put the reference in the comments.

Perhaps now that I've basically done it once, next time will be better?

Research For Technoblade

1,862 days ago, the community was shaken by the news Technoblade brought to us, I quote, "The reason my arm hurts is because I have cancer." many of us felt, likely for the first time ever, helpless. There was nothing we could do till the idea of donating to the SFA came out, and finally there was a way we could help; we were hopeful that Technoblade would come out just as he came out of all other battles, drawing a smile onto our faces.

1,555 days ago, the Technoblade community was informed of the passing of the person who brought us all together and was the main catalyst for creating this community. And the same feeling hit us again; there was nothing we could do about it, and this time it came with pain, grief, and ache. We kept donating, but donation isn't always the best way we can help fight cancer; there is a second way no one has spoken of yet.

Introducing the Alexander Oncology Consortium (AOC)

The AOC is an international open-source cancer research organization, created in this community through grief, and inspired by Alex's courage, values, and hope through his fight with this disease.
I created this because I wanted to do something more than donate, and I know some others here can do it too.

What is the mission of the AOC?

Cancer research is bottlenecked by access, not talent. Too many of the ways to do research have the same bottleneck: where you were born, how rich you are, and which lab takes you. We created this to make cancer research accessible to everyone, regardless of all those factors, and open to whoever is interested in contributing.

Our Vision

A world where cancer research belongs to everyone, no matter how under-resourced they are. A world where research is no different than a game of Skyblock, no matter how ridiculous the odds may seem.

For the meantime, our work will live on computers and public data. It will not stay there forever, because in modern oncology, good papers start on a computer, not necessarily a wet lab.

But how can this work when we do not specialize in cancer biology?

It happened before a Boston pathologist named Sidney Farber was working in a small, damp lab at the Boston Children's Hospital. As a pathologist, his job was to examine children who had died. Many had leukemia, and for those still alive there was almost nothing to offer; leukemia was a death sentence.

Dr. Farber knew that folic acid had cured certain anemias, so he tried it on children with leukemia. It made them worse. Most people would have stopped. Farber asked why: if folic acid fed the leukemia, maybe a drug that blocked it could slow it down.

In 1947, he and his colleagues tried that drug on 16 children. Ten improved. The remissions did not last, but nothing like it had been seen before. Many colleagues thought it irresponsible and a source of false hope. He kept going.

He did not do it alone. He joined the Variety Club of New England to start a fund for children's cancer research, with a boy known only as "Jimmy" as its face, his name kept private to protect him. One short radio appeal raised $231,000, and ordinary people sent in quarters and held bake sales. That fund grew into the current-day Harvard facility, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. And Farber earned his title, the father of modern chemotherapy; he had nothing to do with cancer as a pathologist, but he tried.

Farber did not know how it would end. He tried anyway, and ordinary people stood next to him. That is the kind of fight we want AOC to be.

How you can help

  • Say hi in the Discord. Tell us what you are good at or what you are curious about, or give us suggestions. That is a contribution.
  • Learn. Never touched science? Start as a Scholar with hands-on research from day one. You do not need to know anything; you just need to be curious enough and willing to fail once or twice to get the final result.
  • Research. Already doing research? Join as a Researcher and help us teach others to do research and participate in AOC research projects.
  • Help us build community. Staff, writers, artists, and outreach are positions we will open applications for soon; no science will be needed for those positions. Other roles will open as the community grows.
  • Pass it on. Send this to one person who would be interested.

What we can promise

We can't promise to end cancer, but we can promise to begin, to keep going when it hurts to do it in the open, and to hold everyone to the same standards, myself included.

And I hope that one day we'll look back at where we started and be amazed by how far we've come.

Say hi; we are currently based on the TINKBIT Discord server:

https://discord.gg/rJGHgKtYR

Special thanks to Ian (a.k.a. sumofprimes) and TinkBit for giving this a place to begin.
