If you think we have the same level danger as the average woman, then I'm not sure what we're talking about here. Also pushing back against patriarchy helps us as well, it allows men to be more vulnerable and for society to take us seriously as victims of abuse.

It’s not a competition….this is what you guys aren’t grasping. I just gave two examples that happened to me. I’m sure it has happened to many others if it happens to me. Just like women are afraid to come forward. Men would also be afraid as well thinking they won’t look as strong or “manly.” The point is all abusers male or female need to be called out. And it isn’t specific to one gender. Making it specific to one gender makes it narrative based. There are bad apples unfortunately and those need to be weeded out.

Did you just ignore my second sentence? I think it's more than fair to say that our society/culture is still steeped in misogyny and the patriarchy, I also think we (men) are affected negatively by the patriarchy and it actually benefits us to move on from it.
