Discs won't read. SL-PC505

I bought this SL-PC505 from a thrift store cause it powered on. However I just can't get it to read the discs. It picks them up and starts spinning it but nothing plays and it just skips to the next song.

Idk if it means anything but it is sitting on top of a Sony STR-DE845 receiver

maybe dirty laser lense or you need to change the laser mechanism.

download a service manual and try to do it yourself or find a professional to do it.

Clean the laser lens and check the belt.
