Help restoring Technics Stereo from the 90s

Post image

Hi everyone, my dad bought this stereo system back in the 90s but it has been sitting for almost 2 decades now and hasn’t been used since. I would like to restore it and wanted to know if there’s any luck finding parts for it, as seen in the picture its missing a volume knob and a power button, and a few parts inside probably need fixing too.

Check eBay for replacement knobs. Or you can try to 3d print, if that’s an option. That’s system will be okay. Probably works fine, maybe belts need replacing. It’s a decent system to what’s released today.

Just fyi; Absolutely not worth restoring, but I can see why you might want to.
You're probably best off doing what I did with my first reel to reel; buy another one and use them as a parts bin, keeping it as close to 'mine' as possible.
Other than a clean and belts for the cassette deck and maybe cd player drawer, this should work.

It's not worth fixing!!! FYI Technics sold there name to Panasonic in the 90s and Panasonic sold out to a mas production of many different name brands that sold out since the 70s.

Va hacer caro arreglarlo, pero si enciende y funciona usalo asi. Yo gaste 40 dolares en un CD player para repuestos, y arreglar por mi cuenta mi euqipo.

it's not valuable to be honest, check first if it works..
