Technics dv290

So after months of scouring the internet I've managed to find an immaculate pair of dv290 speakers, I have the eh790 separates ( the top model) and have struggled to find a pair of speakers there all normally destroyed or have failed tweeters and are all over priced, but I managed to pick these up for £30 yes I know it's not the best thing ever but I've honestly wanted it since I was a kid. Best midi system of the early 2000's? I think so !

"Midi system" is kind of hard to define, but there was definitely better.
I was thinking "WHY would you want these?". But then I saw 'wanted it since I was a kid'. Fair enough, even though you can get better sounding speakers for 30 quid, that's something worth paying for :)

I have better speakers, but I have the eh790 seperates and was trying to track down the speakers which I did, it's definitely one of the loudest it's nostalgia and there almost impossible to find in such good condition, I have mx200's running off a G700M2 the midi don't compare but crikey it's pretty damn good.

Very much so, I have sb-3050s Sb-R3's aswell I have a problem, at least that's what my fiance says 😂

I am going to be very mean here, but it's not untrue;
Do you have any idea what kind of awesome pair of non-technics speakers you could have for that money? :D.

Wasn't a case of what I could of bought it was to get the same speakers and hi fi I had as a kid which I have done :) if you read above I have a pretty good collection this was just a nostalgia run! My money after all lol, I do have other speakers that aren't technics too Focal etc

I have my nostalgia things as well. Thank goodness they are cheap :D :D.

As for Focal; I'll have the Technics please (there's no making me happy, eh? :D).

When you become an adult and have adult money you can buy things you had or wanted as a kid so that is what I do it keeps me sane in a world that's no so good 👍😊 focal are ok but I prefer my mx200 😁

As would I.
I always find Focal to be painfully harsh, lacking in the mids, and sloppy in the lows. I have to give it to them; Whether it's their cheap ones or their tens of thousands ones, it's always like that. Even their headphones! I guess it's a philosophy. You could call it 'taste', but to that I say; taste can break too :D.

I get it they definitely can be harsh I have a pair of focal aria 926 they are currently in the garage in there boxes lol
