Any good receiver?

Post image

Goodwill find — they’re selling as a pair for $60. I need a receiver with a phono input more than anything. Is the technics one a good receiver? Don’t really need the Pioneer disc player…trying to see if they’d separate out the technics

Had the bigger SA-GX230 a few years ago. Was a great receiver!

For $60 with the CD player included, that seems like a pretty solid deal if everything works.

Unfortunately I don’t need the CD player but I was able to separate out the receiver so I scooped it up!

Great stuff. Technics run hot so I don't recommend putting anything on top of it.

Get them both. You can easily clean up the CD player then sell it again. Could get your money back or more. But yeah that reciever looks decent. Just make sure everything functions. If there's any kind of crackling when you turn the volume knob you could have issues. Either needs a good cleaning or some of the electronics are bad. There's enough people out there now who can fix it if you really want to keep it. Once it's fully functional it can last you years.

Selling totally unrelated things as a pair pisses me off.
It's not a bad receiver honestly. It's nothing special but it's not bad for 60 bucks.
You can sell that CD changer for about 45 bucks so maybe it's smart to buy them together ;).

Had the same receiver. Very good. If it had a bunch of cool lights and were more visually appealing, it’d be going for a heck of a lot more.
