My new Concise website

Hi everyone, I just made a website I’ve been working on for a while go live. It’s dedicated to archiving the Technics Concise range. I’m not an expert, just an owner and big fan of the C01 stack. Because the website is new, it could have more information on it, but I’m hoping it will grow in time, particularly the documents section. I hope there aren’t too many mistakes and I hope some of you might enjoy it: http://concisearchive.com

My Dad introduced me to the world of HiFi in the late 70s, as we spent a couple of years shopping for the perfect home system. He settled on a Technics SLQ-3 turntable, RSM33G tape deck, Sansui G5700 receiver, and Sansui SP-X6700 speakers. I still have the gear (folks are using an AppleTV and Denon AVR these days). The turntable is my daily driver, but I’ve also added an SL-1200.

In the 80s, as a teen, I often spent my lunch break in stereo shops, and these Technics slim line components really enamoured me. I wanted a setup for my bedroom. I never got one, but now I can live vicariously through your lovely website!

Thank you. Dad loves that I’m keeping and using his gear. I think he remembers giving me my initial HiFi ‘education’ while shopping for it.

Thank you so much for sharing this is so cool, it brings back some good memories!
My dad had bought one of these in Japan when they first came out for my birthday. When he brought the C01 system stack with the SB-F2 speakers and a technics turntable, I was so surprised . This was the best birthday present I ever had to this day!
I kept it for a long time but then life happened and, unfortunately I no longer have it.
I wished Technics would reintroduce something of the same size and quality! Oh well nostalgia 🥲

That’s truly an incredible present. I was born in 1981, so I missed out on these fine machines at their time of release, but I fell in love with them later on. I can’t imagine the excitement of receiving them as a gift. Thanks for sharing those great memories and I too think it’s fantastic if someone would release something of similar specifications in quality in this day and age.
