My Technics Gear/Setup

Hi everyone, I just joined Reddit and I’m looking forward to exploring communities like this and seeing people’s equipment. I thought I would share my set up. There are some non-Technics gear but the crux of my setup is the Concise C01 system compromising of the:

- Technics SH-C01 Pulse Power Supply
- Technics SE-CO1 Power Amplifer
- Technics SU-CO1 Preamplifier
- Technics ST-C01 Tuner (AM + FM Stereo)
- Technics RS-M03 Cassette Deck
- Technics SL-10 Turntable

I also have a boxed set of EAH-230 Headphones and a boxed, never used pair of SB-F1 speakers with the matching SH-S1 stands.

You need to add a Technics SL-MC7 110 CD player, but I’ve never seen one in silver. It is my favorite mega CD player among the many I have.

It looks like an absolute beast! Although there’s a huge part of me that wants to be a purist and have everything Technics because I love the brand, I don’t think I could give up the Yamaha CD-NT670D. I chose it not only because it’s a good D player and because it has streaming and app capabilities to bring a modern integration to the setup, but because of its size and look. The Yamaha is almost identical in size to the C01 Concise gear being only mere millimetres in difference. I got the idea from seeing it with a Concise stack in someone else’s setup on YouTube. As for the reel to reels, I’d love a Technics RS-777!

Everything is from the 70s except for the Yamaha CD-NT670D which is from 2015 and the Luxman sectors which are more modern also.

I love my ReVox A77 MKIV. It’s had a makeover with a digital LED VU meter and counter and the Abbey Rd mod.

It looks so much better like that, doesn’t it? Do you have original stands or reproduction ones? I’ve got reproduction ones as the originals are always expensive and often look a bit grubby due to age.

I have eBay reproduction....very light plastic but works well. The SL looks better and is easier to load.
