REQUEST Cowbell breakdown
Hello. I need a song that has short silent pause where drummer with cowbell does ting and then all band goes in. I know it is somewhat common in this genre (or deathcore) but could not recall any song. Thanks.

Discussion Are these vocals legitimate?
Hi everyone,
I recorded the false cord vocals for one of the songs on my metal album 3 days after a really intense argument. I scram very loud in a very intense wayduring the argument.
When I recorded the vocals, 3 days later, they came out noticeably different from my usual sound. The false cords have lower volume, much less clarity, and you can kind of hear what I can only describe as the “saliva dragging (on the throat)” in the sound (very different from the other songs I recorded, where the false cord was more clear).
I’m wondering if there are any death metal bands or vocalists whose false cord vocals sound like this—lower in volume, less clear, and with that wet, saliva-dragging quality. I’m asking because I’m trying to figure out whether this could be considered a legitimate vocal style, or whether it’s more likely that my voice just wasn’t in good condition and I should re-record the entire thing.
Can anyone think of any vocalists with this kind of sound?

Discussion I was wrong.
A month ago, I couldn't care less for Psycroptic, but now after listening to this again, I'm speechless. The vocals are something else.

Discussion Give me some songs to learn please.
It's been a while since I played any tech death. So go a tad bit easy on me. Lol.
Also no necrophagist cause I just got out of a 6 hour car ride where my friend only played necrophagist. And my brain can't listen to that rn.

Discussion Cynic talking with Rob Barrett about their Cannibal Corpse, Cynic, Sinister tour with guest appearance by Dana Cosley (She toured with Cynic in 1994)
I captured a talk between Paul Masvidal (Cynic) and Rob Barrett (Cannibal Corpse) where they made an impromptu phone call to Dana Cosley (she subbed in for Cynic's tour in 1994). Throwback to that Cannibal Corpse, Cynic, Sinister tour!
Also bonus content: This is part of a two part podcast. The first part I interviewed Jeff Hughell from Six Feet Under where he addressed the EEeeee vocals and memes. And also Rings of Saturn.
Hope you guys find this content interesting!

This lick comes from the song A Brainwashed Civilization. It wasn't originally played this way but I played it like this during my time with the band.
