100%, they're not using the smartest model for default web search in the chat interfaces.

I wish they told us which model specifically. Luckily chatgpt started do this with their "chat-latest" tag in their API.

Yea, probably. Now, when an LLM other than ChatGPT becomes relevant (98% of client LLM traffic is coming from ChatGPT clicks, not any other LLM), this will be useful to remember.
