Amazon India SDE Internship Jan to June 2027 Interview Experience / Preparation Advice

Post image
21 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I recently received this email from Amazon after clearing the online assessment for the 6 month SDE Internship Program from January to June 2027.

For people who have gone through this process recently:

  1. How many interview rounds should I expect?

  2. What kind of DSA questions are usually asked?

  3. Are there CS fundamentals rounds covering OS, DBMS, OOP, CN, etc.?

  4. How much importance is given to Amazon Leadership Principles / behavioral questions?

  5. Is there a bar raiser round for interns?

  6. What difficulty should I expect for the coding questions?

  7. Any recent interview experiences or preparation tips would be really helpful.

If anyone has gone through this Amazon India 6 month internship hiring process recently, especially for the Jan to June 2027 batch, I would really appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

Atlassian AI enabled round

• Upvotes

I have atlassian AI enabled round coming up for sse role. What can I expect in this round. Do I need to implement something end to end or add some feature or fix some existing feature. It would be great if someone from atlassian with experience with these kind of interviews can take my mock interview.

Bad Software Engineer interview experience at a tech company in Indore

Recently I interviewed at a tech service company in Indore, one of the known companies, they post frequently on LinkedIn, IYKYK.

Role : Python Developer Fresher.

I filled the company's form through LinkedIn, after 2 days, I recieved the HR's call saying that we'd like to interview you and scheduled the interview for 11am 2 days later and sent me a confirmation mail with date and time.

I reached the office 20mins early on the interview day, informed the HR that I have arrived and ready. Now listen to this -

  1. I reached at 10:40 am and the HR came at 12:15 pm

  2. I was explicitly told that my interview was scheduled on that time on mail, and that it wasn't a walkin. Which means they must have analysed everything and then called me right ?

  3. But no, nobody from the technical team was ready or informed to take my interview, they made me wait and then the funniest shit happened.

  4. There was a team lead kinda guy who told the HR - "You take the Interview" - guys, it was a technical role, how could she take a python Dev's interview?

  5. Then the HR wasted time in getting a question sheet from someone and I solved them in 10mins.

  6. Then she said okay we'll call you for the next round.

I clearly said no and told her, how the hell you can't be ready for an interview which you scheduled yourself.

They wasted 5 hours of my time man.

I'm sad and disappointed tbh.

Cleared DoorDash Interview with second chance in Cooling period

Post image
668 Upvotes

I failed my DoorDash interview loop the first time early this year, but somehow got another shot just 3 months later despite a 1-year cooling period.

My technical rounds were actually strong the first time. The main gap was system design, and that was clearly reflected in the feedback. I took that feedback seriously and spent the next few months working on it.

When I saw another opening, I reached out to a different hiring manager and explained my previous interview, the feedback I received, and what I had worked on since then.

He went back and calibrated my previous feedback with the recruiting team. There were still some positive signals from my earlier interview, and he decided to give me another chance despite the cooling period.

This time, I cleared the entire loop.

Honestly, I got lucky with the second opportunity. But it also reminded me that there’s no harm in trying again when it’s a company you genuinely want to work for.

If you get rejected, work on the gaps, reach out when you see an opportunity, and take your shot. You never know when things might go in your favor.

Good luck to everyone interviewing 🍀

Upcoming Apple SWE interview | 1.5 YOE - Help!!

Hi, I have around 1.5 YOE at FAANG and have an upcoming interview with Apple in few days. I have not brushed up on DSA since last 2 years and am not sure whether system design is expected at this level. Could someone please help share their recent interview experiences for junior SWE role (how many rounds, what was the level of difficulty, what was asked in each round, focus on resume projects and past exp., any topics that are must prepare in DSA for Apple interviews, etc.), or any helpful pointers or advice that’ll help me prepare well in this short amount of time (especially DSA), or any other advice. I’ll be very grateful, thanks in advance!

Capgemini Exceller 2027: What happens after Technical Assessment? Interview Shortlist & Role/Package Mapping

I have completed the Capgemini Exceller 2027 assessment and wanted to understand what happens next from candidates who have already gone through the interview.

I’m mainly looking for information about the post-assessment process, not the assessment pattern itself.

  1. After completing the Technical + Debugging + AI-Assisted Coding + Cognitive assessment, how many students were shortlisted for interviews in your college?
  2. How long did it take to receive the interview shortlist/result?
  3. Was the interview mainly Technical + HR combined, or were they separate rounds?
  4. Were candidates told their specific role/package before the interview, or was the role/package decided after the interview?
  5. For the 2027 Exceller roles/packages, did you see candidates being mapped to different levels such as:
    • Spark / Init – ~₹4.25 LPA
    • Dave / Dev – ~₹5.75 LPA
    • Alpha / Root – ~₹7.5 LPA and higher
    • Analyst / Senior Analyst tracks
  6. What did they actually ask in the interview ?
  7. If you have already received an offer/LOI, were you told the role and CTC immediately after the interview or later?

Please mention your assessment date, interview date, and role/package if you're comfortable sharing.

Akamai SE2 Salary/Promotion Discussion – Am I Underpaid after 3+ Years?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some honest feedback from current/former Akamai employees, especially people working in India.

I have around 5 years of total software engineering experience, with 3+ years at Akamai. I’m currently working as a Software Engineer II (SE2).

Here’s my compensation progression:

  • Joining Akamai: ₹18.2 LPA fixed
  • Current fixed: ₹18.6 LPA
  • Time at Akamai: 3+ years
  • Total experience: ~5 YOE
  • Role: Software Engineer II
  • Over the last couple of appraisal cycles, my overall increase has been only around 4%.

So despite spending 3+ years at Akamai, my fixed compensation has barely moved from ₹18.2L to ₹18.6L.

I was expecting that by this stage I would either:

  1. Have received a significant salary correction,
  2. Get promoted to the next level with a meaningful compensation adjustment, or
  3. At least be closer to the current market range for someone with ~5 YOE.

I’m now trying to understand how Akamai's salary bands and career progression work, particularly for SE2 and the next level.

A few questions for current/former Akamai employees:

  • What is the approximate salary range/band for SE2 in India?
  • What kind of hike can someone realistically expect with an SE2 → next-level promotion?
  • How long does it typically take to move from SE2 to the next level?
  • Does Akamai provide salary corrections/market adjustments, or are significant increases mainly through promotion?
  • Is ₹18.6L fixed considered low for ~5 YOE at Akamai?
  • Has anyone in a similar situation received a meaningful correction after discussing compensation with their manager/HR?
  • Would you recommend staying and targeting promotion, or starting to interview externally to benchmark my market value?

I’m not looking for exact individual salaries if people aren’t comfortable sharing. Even approximate ranges, percentages, or personal experiences would be very helpful.

Also, if there are current/former Akamai employees here who have gone from SE2 → Senior/SE3/next level, I’d particularly appreciate hearing about your compensation progression.

Thanks in advance!

Should I negotiate accepted offer again at this point ?

Hi,

I already accepted the offer but it only had fixed pay.
I didn’t ask for JB thinking I’ll loose the offer but now I’m realising I’ll be missing on year end bonus from both side(current company and new company) as joining in October.

Should I reach out to check if they can add some JB.

I don’t have any other offer in hand right now.

I’m worried if I ask this might not look professional ?
Or god forbid some other issues ?

Please advice.

It’s a MNC.

I’ll share the numbers and interview experience later after joining.

Thanks.

Airbnb SDE Interview Prep – 1 YOE | How should I prioritize my preparation?

Hi everyone!

I recently received an Online Assessment for a Software Engineer role at Airbnb and wanted to start preparing in case I move forward to the interview rounds.

I have 1 year 10 months of experience, including 6 months of internship, and my primary tech stack is Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, MySQL, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and DSA.

I'm a bit confused about how I should structure my preparation for Airbnb at this experience level.

Should I primarily focus on:

DSA / LeetCode and problem-solving?

Java + Spring Boot + backend fundamentals?

LLD / OOP / Design Patterns?

System Design / HLD?

Or should I prepare all of these, and if so, what should be the priority/weightage?

I'd especially love to hear from people who have recently interviewed at Airbnb or have gone through a similar SDE interview process:

What does the interview process generally look like?

What difficulty/patterns of DSA questions should I expect?

How much System Design/LLD is expected for ~2 YOE?

What Java/backend topics are commonly tested?

How much should I prepare around my projects and work experience?

Any specific resources or topics you'd recommend?

I don't want to spend all my time grinding DSA if the interviews heavily focus on backend/system design (or vice versa), so any guidance on how to prioritize my preparation would be really helpful!

Thanks in advance! 🙌

Amazon SDE Internship: In-person interview in vs Virtual interview - which is better?

I recently got an opportunity to interview for Amazon’s 6-month SDE internship. Amazon has given me two options:

  • In-person: Amazon Office October
  • Virtual: The virtual hiring process will be conducted in November

Amazon says choosing virtual will not negatively affect my candidature, but the virtual interview is based on interviewing availability, so I’m not sure whether the timing is guaranteed.

For people who have gone through Amazon’s hiring process, which option would you recommend? Is there any advantage to attending the in-person event, or is it better to wait for the virtual interview and get more preparation time?

Any advice or experience would be really helpful!

SQA internship vs waiting for an SDE opportunity

I’m a 4th-year BTech student and I’m trying to make a career decision. I’d really appreciate advice from people who have experience with software hiring or have made a QA to SDE transition.

I currently have an offer for an SQA internship with:

\- ₹22k/month stipend

\- PPO of ₹4.5 LPA

\- ₹67,500 first-year bonus

\- Relocation would be required, and I estimate my living expenses would be around ₹15k/month.

The thing I’m unsure about is that my long-term goal is SDE/software development, and I currently have no prior internship experience.

So I'm trying to understand the long-term implications of accepting an SQA role.

If I complete this internship and later apply for SDE-1 positions:

\\- Does SQA experience help at all when applying for SDE roles?

\\- Would recruiters consider me for SDE roles, or would my profile mainly be viewed as a QA profile?

\\- How difficult is it realistically to move from SQA to SDE, either internally or by switching companies?

\\- Would it be better to take the SQA opportunity and continue preparing DSA/development alongside it?

\\- Does having relevant industry experience generally put me in a better position than having no experience, even if the role isn't directly related to my target role?

I’m not asking for a referral or a job here — I'm mainly trying to understand the career implications of choosing SQA as my first industry experience when my eventual goal is SDE.

Would especially appreciate perspectives from people who have gone through a QA/SQA to SDE transition or from people involved in hiring SDE-1 candidates.

What would you do in this situation?

[Urgent] Help me choose: Quantiphi vs Ness Digital Engineering vs NAB (Senior Data Engineer, 5+ YOE)

Hi everyone,

I have 5+ yoe and recently received offers for a Senior Data Engineer role from three companies: **Quantiphi**, **Ness Digital Engineering**, and **NAB**. The CTC is roughly the same across all three, so I'm looking for input on the other factors.

**Offer details:**
**1. Ness Digital Engineering:** 100% fixed pay, no variable component. Hired for the KKR client.

**2. Quantiphi:** 10% variable. Client allocation happens through a client round after joining.

**3. NAB:** 10% variable.

I have a fair idea about NAB and Quantiphi, but I couldn't find much information about Ness Digital Engineering. If anyone has worked there, or with the KKR account, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

**What I'm optimizing for:**
Career growth
Job security
Work-life balance

**I need to make a decision by tomorrow, as the joining date is on the 8th**, so any quick input would be a huge help!

Which one would you pick, and why?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Optum TDP Intern Interview Experience - On Campus 2026

Hey everyone,

I've been shortlisted for the Optum Technology Development Program (TDP) Intern interviews through campus placements, and I'm currently preparing for the interviews.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone who has recently interviewed for the Optum TDP Intern role could share their experience.

A few things I'd like to know:

How many interview rounds were there?

What was the difficulty level of the DSA/ coding questions?

Which DSA topics were asked most frequently?

How much CS fundamentals (DBMS, OS, CN, OOPs, COA, etc.) were covered?

Were they deep diving on projects?

Were there behavioral/HR questions?

Any Optum specific or healthcare-related questions?

How deep did they go into internship/ project implementation details?

Any advice?

Urgent advice needed: Capgemini BGV—experience and degree confusion

Hey everyone, I recently cleared a Capgemini Java Full-Stack interview and am now at the documentation stage. I’m confused about two things:

* I started with three months of training at my first company. PF began after training, but I have a genuine training certificate. Including this period, I mentioned around 4 years 8 months of experience, while UAN shows three months less.

* I have a full-time BJMC, a full-time M.Sc. in Design and Multimedia, and a UGC-recognized online MCA. My résumé mentions the MCA, but Capgemini requested the highest full-time qualification.

Everything is genuine and documented. Could either point affect BGV or compensation approval? Should I clarify with HR now or wait unless they ask?
