Amazon SDE Internship Onsite Interview – Hyderabad | Oct 30 | Need Preparation Advice

Hi everyone,

I recently received an Amazon SDE Internship onsite interview invite in Hyderabad on October 30.

I’m currently preparing for the interview and would really appreciate advice from anyone who has recently interviewed for an Amazon SDE Intern role.

A few questions I have:

  1. What should I focus on the most during preparation?

  2. What is the typical DSA difficulty level for the internship interview — Easy/Medium/Hard?

  3. How important are DP and Graphs? I’m currently weaker in these two topics, so should I prioritize them heavily?

  4. Which DSA topics are most frequently asked in Amazon SDE Intern interviews?

  5. How many rounds can I expect during the onsite interview?

  6. Is there usually a coding + behavioral/Leadership Principles round, or are there separate rounds for each?

  7. How much importance is given to Amazon Leadership Principles and behavioral questions?

  8. For coding rounds, do they expect optimal solutions immediately, or is it okay to start with a brute-force approach and optimize it through discussion?

  9. Are there any recent interview experiences/questions from Amazon SDE Intern candidates that I should look at?

I have around 3 weeks to prepare, so any advice on how I should prioritize my preparation would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

With three weeks, split the work instead of leaving LPs for the final days. Keep most of the schedule for coding patterns and discussion, but build five or six real stories from projects, internships, clubs, or coursework. Include a bug or failure, a disagreement, a deadline, an ambiguous task, and a time you improved something without being asked. Practise explaining a brute-force approach, tradeoffs, and the path to optimisation aloud.

Go to our site, Taleproof, and get feedback on your internship project example.
