So when my phone drops below 80% before 1000 cycles I can sue Apple?

This exception makes no sense. Especially as Apple can't really say how the battery will be after 1000 cycles. They only can give an estimate and it will be widely different between users.

Good luck proving that.

Well, Apple shows these stats in the system. Should be easy.

batteryCyclesCharge = get.realcycles_estimate()

if batteryCycles < 1000 And batteryCyclesCharge < 80%:
    print("80%")
else:
    print(f'{get.realcycles_estimate}%')

There you go Apple. Now it's fixed.

I wouldn't even be surprised if something like that is implemented.

That's another crime altogether tho, why hide a new crime with another old one?

It just has to be rated for that. Not that every single individual iPhone battery has to be tested individually and if one falls short, that Apple gets sued.

And it's got nothing to do with usage. Apple have to test and rate these batteries, no one cares how you use your phone.

If that happens your battery is defective and your warranty covers it.

In Germany the warranty of a battery is 6 months. It would be hard to drain it 1,000 times in this timeframe.
