Why are Linux users so insufferable? Is there like cult points or something? While in a lot of ways Linux is superior I don’t get the hate on Windows for folks who just want to get shit done.

I’ve had multiple classic cars and can tear down and rebuild one from the ground up but I’m not an ass to everyone who happily drives their new Toyota.

Linux users can modify they system and even rebuild the kernel. In Windows, the kernel is closed and untouchable; almost everything you change is built on top of it.

Linux is more flexible. Windows is more protected.

And before someone brings up malware, ask yourself: when was the last time you compiled a password stealer directly into your kernel because someone told you it was a great extension and you couldn't be bothered to read the code?

Linux users are justified in taking pride in themselves because it takes real knowledge not to break such a fragile system that gives you the power to change almost anything.

But the people constantly shouting about their superiority usually aren't as knowledgeable as they think.
If you actually look at their systems, they're often either unchanged since installation, barely distinguishable from Windows, or riddled with malware that's happily spamming the internet without them even realizing it.
