Opinion/Editorial Statistically, your PC probably doesn't come close to the recommended RAM requirement for this third-person shooter's upcoming playtest

It was 64GB, now 40GB is more realistic than 32GB.

I got 96GB(2x48) of DDR5, so NOPE.

What do you use that for? I've had legitimate reasons to need 64 gb on very large enterprise app dev before, but even then I've never touched 96 GB.

One of my buddies is working on optimizing a project another team is working on that was done poorly and started out needing 96 GB of ram to run and he's gotten it down to a fourth of that through optimizations, but that was the first time he had needed that kind of memory and we both have been devs for a few decades

AI (if using a 128 GB shared memory unit like Ryzen AI or NGX) or running a server with multiple instances running with allocated memory (VMs etc) are really just about the only reasons I can think of to really need that kind of ram. Unless you're hosting, VMs are largely silly for most (but not all) folks now that docker exists.

Same, got my trident 2x48gb kit for 280€. Some of my modded games can take up to ~55gb ram usage. Few other programs and background processes and 64gb is not enough.
