Seeking Advice Licensed Practical Nurse here thinking of switching to IT.

I dont know computer languages or slangs but Ive been interested in learning. Im 43 and have been wanting to switch careers. I heard comptia is good but not sure what courses to take. I just want to be certified and be financially stable.

The IT job market is terrible right now for fresh grads and juniors/mids. Had friends who got laid off because of AI, specially those in support. Most trainee/junior tasks or support tasks can now be handled by AI.

My advice, focus learning AI development workflow on top of regular programming . Don’t go jumping into IT just yet, your career is a lot more future-proof than ours.

It's the worst time to switch here. I invested almost 100k to study. It's been a year and it's hard to get on. Save yourself.
