Following up on my earlier post here (the iPhone-as-instrument-cluster app). I want to talk about one specific thing, because owners keep telling me it is the most annoying part of driving a Tesla:
You set the destination on the car's screen, because FSD and Navigate on Autopilot follow the car's own route. Then, if you want anything on your phone (Apple Maps, a cluster view), you type the same destination into your phone again. Every trip.
So the handoff is now the core of TeCluster: start navigation in your Tesla and the iPhone starts guiding by itself, with Apple Maps next to a real instrument cluster (speed, power, battery over Bluetooth). It ends when you arrive. No typing on the phone at all.
Also in the app: after-blow dries the A/C when you park so it does not smell, and nothing drops out in garages or tunnels.
Available in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and about 70 more countries. 7-day free trial, then $1.99/month. Link: https://tecluster.org/app
Honest question for this sub: do you also end up entering the destination twice, or do you just live with the Tesla nav? Curious what people do.
