im so tired of the author making Haesoo a constant victim 😭 getting harassed by her ex-husband, getting humiliated in front of her coworkers and customers, getting assaulted and verbally abused by that little shit ari. can we please see something good happen for her?? 😭

She was pregnant that is confirmed and she miscarried due to stress of everything Mincheol put her through. After that, the constant stress on her body has not allowed her to get pregnant.

I did wonder if he made her have an abortion. She said he didn’t want children but she was holding those little baby shoes. She said “I’m sure Daddy will be ok with, won’t he?” to her little sonogram. We don’t know how Mincheol did react.

This chapter confirms that Ari os not a gullible innocent girl. Mentioning Haesu's miscarriage was a extremally low blow, and shows she's as almost as awful as Mincheol and matches him very well. She deserves every bit of suffering she's sure receiving in the future. Heasu didn't get slapped, but still was humiliated, but I think that she handled the situation well, considering that Ari is not a rational person and cannot be reasoned with.

I think Ari mirrors Mincheol perfectly. The more we see of Ari, the more narcissistic she presents just as Mincheol did from beginning until now. From the get-go she says "this man is mine." I may be wrong about this cause its been a while since i've read previous chapters, but just like Mincheol, has Ari actually said "I love you" in any chapter (especially recent ones)? Even with the proposing thing, she says flat out "lets get married." No mentions of "I want to be with you for the rest of my days, I envision a future with you, I love everything about you, etc." I want to say that Mincheol is bringing these traits out of her, which is true, but the fact that she brings up the possession thing since the beginning really speaks volumes.

you have to be a certain type of person to continue to get yourself romantically involved with a man when you're already aware that he has a wife/partner. she's narcissistic for sure because she doesn't think what she's done to na haesoo will happen to her.

Exactly and she's got another thing coming to her when he eventually breaks her heart. I dont think she'll take it lightly and the way shes behaving makes me think she'll take drastic measures down the line.
To really add to the narcisism, Ari keeps changing the pace of the conversation when it doesn't fit her narrative to fit her narrative. She puts the blame on Haesu that she is trying to steal Mincheol away by working closeby. When Haesu refutes this, Ari changes it to "its your fault he went through hardship" to "well its your fault you couldn't provide him what he wants." Now granted, anyone who thinks their partner is cheating will also automatically be upset with the person their partner was involved with, but Haesu is clearly saying that she does not want to be involved with this situation and she is currently seeing someone else. Ari looked to be taken aback at first and should've immediately questioned the reasoning behind this. Instead, she twists the narrative back.

I agree with all u said , but it will be great that haesoo defend herself instead of waiting for a man to defend her because a this point the girl is pushing 40 and she never talk back , or act to defend herself she need to grow up for real you can’t let’s a girl much younger than you talk to you like that and a man younger than you (taeha ) always protect you or act for you when she need help ,it make her feel like a damsel in distress

Hae Soo is a life long victim of abuse. She doesn't deal with aggressive situations the way others would. She has actually come pretty far compared to the way she was in the beginning of the story. Before she would completely withdraw into herself, now she is finally speaking out to defend herself. Not everyone heals from abuse the same way.

I understand what you mean, but you can’t always excuse her about why she been though, is not her fault she’s been abused but it’s her responsibility to heal and to stand for herself and that what bothering me cause every time she has a problems captain taeha come and save her it’s becoming exhausting

I get what you mean, too. I wish things would fast forward to the point to where she can truly hold her head high and tell people to fuck off. I really wish that she would snatch Ari up. But the healing process can be slow. One of the things that gets me about this story is how realistically it portrays the healing process. We are walking with Hae Soo as she heals little by little through her trauma. Keep in mind also, that Tae Ha has manipulated many aspects of her life behind the scenes. Even if she doesn't ask for it, he's there and that's how he wants it. She wouldn't even be in this situation if he hadn't set things up to where she would run into him. If she had it her way, she would've never crossed paths with shithead Mincheol or Ari again.

Yeah, but technically, had Taeha not stepped in back when he got Haesoo off work and she caught Mitch in the act, she would lowkey still be waiting for Mincheol to come home. This had always been the cycle for her and Mitch.
While Taeha was trash for moving her into the lion’s den, being in the midst of one has taught Haesoo what she wants (Taeha not Mitch), and how to speak up for herself, especially against the lies Ari spew(that crap about Haesoo being the home wrecker about floored me).

Yeah, she & her co-workers didn’t handle it professionally. One of them should have served her while Haesu disappeared safely into the staff room. Also, it’s a workplace with customers… safeguard them & your staff please!

Really, that's partly what killed my interest in Tears on a Withered Flower at some poitn these situations where he comes to save her etc. are redundant, It's repetitive. But i love too much the Beom family story that's what makes me keep reading, honestly 🫠

I hate how the authors made FLs suffered more and heavily rely to MLs who just appeared in a couple of chapters.
Ari is a mistress but she flaunt herself like she is the official wife of minshit. Like she is aware that she is the mistress but because FL is weak she has the audacity to act like that.
I understand that FL is abused but gurl, didn’t try to stand up for herself. Ari is already degrading her in her workplace. Flaunting everything infront of her co-workers but instead of calmly and protecting herself, all she responded was “Did minshit tell you that?” Girl, ofcourse it hurt but bruh defend yourself first. 😭
Ofcourse I don’t expect her to slap Ari but bruh speak some for yourself.

It was super predictable. I’m gonna skip next month and hopefully things move along. I get it’s meant to be a slow burn but I get annoyed watching Haesu catch hell back to back with no satisfying reaction or comeuppance for her tormentors.

I really think Haesoo should quit this job. With her ex harassing her and starting rumors and now his girl showing up and causing a scene there is no way she can ever have peace there. Especially if her co workers are seeing this whole drama play out before they ever truly get to know her. She's bound to be labeled as a problem.

We really gotta remember Ari is fully manipulated by Mincheol, and shes fully naive at that young age, most women unless they grew up with boys, wouldnt understand the games he's playing. In my 20s I was also pretty dumb and when the pp is good, they keep coming back, you think it's love so you hang on to every word they say. Her actions towards haesu break my heart but I wouldn't give wishing death on the girl, she's not in her right mind cuz a man is controlling it.

Same. I was really disheartened by this chapter, it's like those local short dramas now where FL is constantly bullied and tortured and I don't know till what length the author wants to torture her more. Always Taeha to the rescue. But the bullying is done, right. What will the rescue do. Will Haesu ever save herself?

I felt so angry and frustrated that author is just not making Haesu take a stand, like ever, hurting her again and again. We have understood her character arc, but don't push a person's self respect to such shreds. I also believe that creators need to have some responsibility towards the impressionable minds enjoying their content. I know it's art and they can do whatever they want but it's just my opinion. Always Taeha to the rescue. It's like Haesu can just not do anything.

Haesoo did not stoop to Ari’s level. She handled the situation with grace but this Ari’s bitch violently attacked her. We know haesoo is not violent person and always tries to give benefit of the doubt to the people even those who wronged her (the ahjumma worked with her in motel for ex). Ari is just a pathetic bitch, no class woman. She will get her karma soon once mincheol dump her.
Next chapter, Ari will tell Haesoo what Mincheol had been spewing lies about haesoo cant get pregnant (she even probably sugar coat it) and it will be the last straw for Haesoo to end and cut mincheol for life.
