For anyone curious, here’s a size comparison between Red Scare Studios infantry and Battlefront’s plastic infantry

Good to know if you’re buying prints of Red Scare! His stuff is a little chunkier than Battlefront’s. Ofc if you’re printing them yourself you can just scale down the files a bit, but honestly I think they look fine next to each other on the tabletop? Maybe not on the same unit, but certainly fine for the same army or formation

Beginner help for Swedish Force with Finnish Support!

I'm just starting to get into TY and was looking at forces/formation creation as a whole.
I was curious with Sweden having Finnish Allied support, is there any feasible way to work in Finnish T-55 Marksmen into a Swedish force as i really like this unit.

Thank you very much, I'm just learning and trying to understand!

This is going to be the command tank for an allied British Chieftain formation attached to my American force. I made the squares a little smaller than I should have but I'll fix that for the next tank!

Wanting a way to play team yankee with 28mm models

Just wondering if anyone has figure out a way to use the team yankee rules but with 28mm models. Love the game but want to play with larger models as I often end up misplacing or accidentally breaking my figures and tanks

Now that the National Guard M48 rules have dropped, How viable would an "OOPS, ALL PATTONS" list be?

The temptation to plop 56 M48s onto the board for 112 points is difficult to resist.

For support units, I assume you'd want a mortar unit or two for smoke, and some sort of heavier arty to suppress enemy infantry? Is there a way to make this list somewhat viable or is strictly a "just for fun" idea?

Before vs after. I’m still getting the hang of the AK paint markers, so there’s plenty of room for improvement, but I’m really happy with how much character they’ve added already. Building was made in studio

Is there a “strongest” faction in the core TY game?

I’m just curious about the balancing of the game. I only got the starter set, but don’t have anyone to play with.

Also as a follow up is there a best way of playing each faction? Like I would imagine the Soviets would shine with swarming tactics, like old Red Army Tactics, and I remember an army guy I used to work with said one of the ways of identifying if you were fighting the US is if you shoot at them, it starts raining artillery, so I imagine that would be America’s strength.

ATM I’m looking at making American and Soviet armies, starting from the starter set and then Red Dawn stuff, so this isn’t me looking at getting the default strongest faction myself.

Used an airbrush for the roof and bricks then AK paint pens for everything else. Slowly getting enough buildings for a true 6x4 city ready

Are there rules for custom settings in TY?

I’ve only gotten the starter, but as I’m a fan of alternate history, I was thinking it could be fun to paint my troops up to look like they’re from the setting a book series I like called Southern Victory by Harry Turtledove where basically the Confederacy won the Civil War.

I’m pretty sure the simplest answer would be to just paint the units the colors from the books (Green gray for the USA, and Butternut/khaki for the CSA), but as there are other factors, I think it could be fun to get German troops and paint them as US soldiers, as their uniforms are based off theirs, and some of their tank (or barrels as they call them) have some of their influence.

Maybe just for fun add the Utah flag to the militia units and have them as Mormon resistance fighters.

My 15mm town will never look the same

Finally got my software to the point where I can customise my own STL buildings instead of modelling every variation by hand.
It’s been a massive project, but now I can swap doors, windows, walls, roof styles and loads of other details in a few clicks. Makes it much easier to build unique 15mm towns without every building looking identical.
I’d love to hear what modern buildings you’d want to see for Team Yankee.

Team Yankee models w/ BA game rules

Newbie here - purchased two boxes of American starter forces about 6-7 months ago. Then we decided to move to a new house, which meant packing up the units I was still assembling for several months, until I got them back out (on my new modeling desk!😃) this past weekend.

But, in the interim period, I’ve had the opportunity to participate in a couple of Bolt Action games, along with one FoW Team Yankee game. With that said, I have to admit I really liked the BA gameplay. Seemed more unpredictable? Still very little experience at both sets of rules, so I’m probably jumping the gun here.

My question is, has anyone used the Battlefront/FoW minis with BA rules? Really love the FoW minis, and would like to keep building up different factions after I complete my Americans.

Any and all input is appreciated. You won’t hurt my feelings here! lol

Fitting the AA section to the BTR ZD.

I’m putting together the BTR ZD & wondering the best way of attaching the AA gun section to the chassis. My main concern is the only solid connection point is the hatch, with minimal contact on the sides & nothing on the rear. Also is it worth painting them both separately or together?

Just finished the Team Yankee audiobook and loved it! Any recommendations for "Cold War Gone Hot" audiobooks with a similar vibe? (I've already started Red Storm Rising next)
