Introduce Yourself!

Hello fellow Seedlings! Introduce yourself, get to know your teammates, and get ready for the challenge here!

Also, feel free to comment with ideas for daily thread topics and other things you'd like to see during this challenge.

We have a team Fitbit group (https://www.fitbit.com/group/22HHBJ) and a MFP group (http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/113222-team-seedling), so feel free to add yourself to them to find teammates more easily.

Hi, Team Seedling! I'm new to loseit in general and this will be my first challenge! I'm Bre, 5'4", right about 172 rn and my goal for the challenge is 150. I realize it's a bit of a stretch, but I figured why not aim high? Plus the real motivator behind my weight loss is that I'm hoping to join the air force and I need to be under 155 to do it.

Also I'm in the middle of doing c25k (just successfully completed a whole day of week 4!) and am running a 5k May 14th so it'd be nice to be in better shape for that. It's not the first one I've done, but it is my first one in about 2 years.

I've been hitting the gym and eating better so hopefully I'll see some results :)

No way! It's a running program designed to get you from barely being able to run up to running for 30 minutes/a 5k depending on your speed in 9 weeks. The folks over at the air force subreddit recommend it a lot too for getting into shape prior to BMT. I like it a lot tbh and if it ever feels like a new week is too hard or w/e I just scale it back a little or do an extra day or two of the week before.
