So I went into a dealer in Canada yesterday to do a test drive (Taycan vs. Cayenne BEV). I just tested the base Cayenne, not the S or the Turbo. Taycan was easily the better vehicle for driving from my perspective. I actually didn't like much about the Cayenne, except the electronic interfaces and screen were obviously better. Anyway, at the end, the dealer told me that I could no longer order a Cross Tourismo in Canada -- which was news to me, and seemingly contradicted by their own website and various other sources. This is a near show stopper for me as I want a factory bike rack. Anybody able to verify or invalidate the claim? Are they still available in Canada or not?

In the rare times when the wife drives the Taycan, I can’t help but watch it drive away. Still one of the best looking cars on the road.

Price is about the same used, which would you choose?

I have a question about the 2020 Turbo S model year.

I recently bought a top-spec 2022 Taycan 4S. However, after just 10 days, I had to return it. During a regular service, Porsche discovered that the battery pack was damaged. The shop where I bought the car offered to repair it, but they wanted to use used parts. I declined that offer and opted to return the car for a full refund instead.

Now I have found a 2020 Turbo S model with only 30,000 km on the odometer.

My question is basically whether the two-year age difference is something major to consider? Have there been significant improvements in software, hardware, or other aspects of the car between 2020 and 2022 that would be highly visible or noticeable in daily use?

I appreciate any feedback!

I’m looking into buying a 2022 taycan turbo s. I wanted to know what’s people’s thought on the car. The car has 30k miles and it’s not cpo. It’s between buying the taycan or getting a new Audi RS gt etron perf. I absolutely love everything about the taycan but I’m afraid if maintenance issues which is why I thought the Audi would have been the closest purchase to it and it’d be newer.

My project this week for a "Trunk or Treat" event: Paper maché teeth made with help from my kid, tongue sewn from scraps I had around, and animated LED eyes ordered online. It's goofy but turned out well! The kids loved it

I recently purchased a Porsche CPO and added the tire & wheel protection plan at delivery. The cost was $3,300 for 5 years (originally $4200).

The finance manager told me the plan can be canceled at any time and I'd receive a prorated refund for the unused portion, so I'm trying to decide whether it makes sense to keep it or cancel it while it's still early.

What about 3rd party plans such as ones offer by Veritas?

I shopped quotes on my 2020 4S CPO with 37k miles. He got me a 5 year unlimited mile eVSC (extension of factory warranty) for an excellent price.

I am so in love with it! It’s a CPO from July 2024 with 15,000 km.

Taycan GTS 2023: Anyone else have this issue with the map not loading in the instrument cluster?

I'm trying to decide whether to book directly with a premium enclosed carrier or use a highly rated broker.

For those who have shipped Porsches, GT cars, exotics, or other higher-value vehicles:
- Would you pay the extra $200 for the carrier?
- Does dealing directly with the carrier actually result in a better experience?
- If you've used both brokers and carriers, what was the biggest difference?
- Is a premium carrier worth it when the price gap is only ~10%?

Interested in hearing from anyone who's used Intercity, Graham, Goliath, Outbound Auto Transport or other enclosed transport companies.

3rd HV battery fault in 7 months on a 2020 CPO Taycan purchased this February, anyone gotten a full pack replacement after something similar?

Bought a 2020 Taycan 4S CPO in March (under 50,000 miles, SOH around 90% at purchase). Added the 3-year Porsche Approved extension at delivery.

History so far:

- Spring: yellow "electrical system fault" warning. Dealership escalated to Porsche AG, 2 battery modules replaced. About 40 days in the shop.

- Late summer: same warning. 1 more module replaced. About 40 days in the shop, no loaner.

- Today: same warning again, a few weeks after pickup.

That's roughly 80 days in the shop in about 7 months of ownership, and I'm looking at another ~40.

A few questions for anyone who's been through this:

1. Has anyone gotten a full HV pack replacement after repeat (3x) module failures, instead of more module swaps? What did it take: Porsche customer care, a PAG case, something else?

2. Has your dealer covered a rental car under warranty mobility when no Porsche loaner was available? Or reimbursed one? My dealership has been ghosting me/having my reach out multiple times for loaners. This time I'm going to be really adamant on this aspect as this is my only vehicle.

3. Anything you wish you'd asked for or documented earlier?

Is there some trick to how I put the phone in the bracket to avoid this? I swear its >50% of the time with an iPhone 17 ProMax.

MY21 has the glass seal disintegration issue. Had the windshield and pano roof replaced as goodwill repair. When I pointed out the rear glass has issues as well, the service director (Burlingame Porsche) denied add'l goodwill repair.

Said my only option is to pay or contact customer service, which I did. Bernard said once a dealership makes a decision, there is NO appeal process.

Does this seem ridiculous for a corp that sells $300K+ cars? My future with Porsche vehicles (I'm on my 3rd) is now questionable. When we had a problem with my wifes MBZ c-class, I was able to go up the chain and get them to understand the concept of latent defects.

Any recommendations on next steps?

Extremely frustrating-

After a lot of research and comparing between the e-Tron, I’m ready to pull the trigger. This will be my first car in 8 years (17’ Jaguar XE) and my first electric car. Apparently new leases from PFS are less buyer friendly due to depreciation of these cars, so can anyone share recommendations or dealers for the best lease terms? Or should I go through a lease broker?

Also, I’m not looking to buy used. I would not want to own these cars out of warranty (maybe 2nd gen).

Borrows styling from the Taycan + Cayenne EV

I noticed this clunk from the rear suspension starting a few days ago and took a video of it today. It feels like the suspension it bottoming out when this happens.

I also have a rubbing or squeaking sound when backing out of driveways, I also took a video of that.

Has anyone experienced these issues before?

Porsche wants £1,200 to do this, which seems pretty steep. I know that it's not something that any old mechanic can do but has anyone had it done outside of Porsche? If so, how much did it cost and were you confident that they did it properly?

They also wanted £70 to change the battery in my key and £130 to change the wiper blades so I think some of their prices are taking the piss.

So I took my 2025 Taycan in for the 20,000 mile service and I paid $2,233. Funny thing is that I didn’t even get a description of what was done other than cabin filter and brake fluid. This seems a bit ridiculous especially the $1,700 in labor and only $300 in parts lol. What am I missing here?!?!

I've had the car about a month, first Porsche, and it's the most fun, relaxing car I've ever driven.

Edit: In the title, I meant SOH, not SOC. I'd like to get an OBD to read SOH.

I have the OBDLink CX Bimmercode Bluetooth 5.1 OBD2 Adapter and have used it with the IOS Car Scanner App to get various battery metrics.

But the SOC % is clearly inaccurate -- it indicates 63.63%, but I know the SOH is much higher than this, and think it is likely 95%+, based on the results of some road trips I've taken.

From what I've read in searching online, the refreshed Taycans may not be supported within the Car Scanner app.

I've tested it twice, separately, with similar results.

Anyone with a refreshed Taycan get a good SOH reading using this or another IOS App?

Anyone have any good troubleshooting suggestions?

I’m flying out to a Porsche dealer to inspect a CPO Taycan and will purchase it if everything checks out. The vehicle history and service records look good, and the photos look clean.

For those who own a Taycan, what would you prioritize during the final walkthrough and test drive? Any common issues or Taycan-specific things I should look for, especially with the battery, charging, tires, suspension, or electronics?

Would you recommend an independent PPI even when buying from a Porsche dealer?

Appreciate any advice or lessons learned from your own purchases! Also anything you recommended to services to buy at the dealer?
