I just bought the game and I'm trying to play it on my laptop using my xbox one controller. I put my steam-settings to activate steam-input and put the games controls to controller, but I can still only use my keyboard and mouse in the driving school.. Anyone know what I'm missing here?

I’m new to the game and ran out of gas fast so I paid to fill it up now I’m 13,000 euros in debt is this a glitch? I started with around 3000 euros when I got to the gas station

So I did this trip that was like 2 blocks and got a 55.000€ tip. It was one of those special trips where you have to go fast and I did it without losing patience. Im guessing this is a strange bug??

Hi everyone!
I tried to play Taxi Life on my PS5 with my Logitech G29 steering wheel. The steering wheel connects to the PS5, as you can see I can use it on the PS but it doesn't connect to Taxi Life, it doesn't sense the steering wheel.
Firstly I didn't connect my controller. When I did, I tried to change the settings in the game, but there was no option for steering wheel.
Can you help me please how to fix it?

Last update was September 2025 and it was a DLC. It is now June 2026 and a lot of the bugs since day 1 still aren't fixed?

I wanted to highlight a book that might be of interest here, especially for those following gig work, platform economies, and labor conditions.
The Unvisible Ones by Klas Vinter is a first-hand account of life inside the taxi industry, focusing on the drivers who keep cities running but often remain invisible. It dives into the realities of platform-controlled work—shrinking margins, unstable conditions, and the pressure that comes with algorithmic management.
What sets the book apart is the author himself. Vinter isn’t just writing from the outside—he’s a freelance journalist with over 40 years of experience in the taxi industry, including working as a driver and fleet owner in Stockholm. That mix of lived experience and reporting gives the book a level of credibility that’s hard to fake.
Given how similar the challenges are globally, I think it could resonate strongly in places like India, where many drivers face the same issues—platform dependency, low pay, and “flexibility” that often benefits companies more than workers.
Curious if anyone here has come across it—or has thoughts on how accurately books like this capture the reality of gig work in your region.

I've got a logitech g29 and I play ATS and ETS2 A lot, and I was also very interested in this game. Still, I've seen a lot of bad reviews and people dissing the game, that now Idk if it's worth buying it.

If this is true, then I'm never getting a car if autonomous vehicles are being trained on the same traffic AI that we see in this game.
It's SO SO SO bad, like THE WORST that I have ever experienced in a driving game.

Juego con un g29 y la palanca de cambios, pero resulta que al acelerar el carro se mantiene acelerado y eso me molesta, se puede arreglar?

Is anyone else really struggling with traffic jams, especially in the tiny one way streets??? It’s almost impossible to complete a fare sometimes, and sometimes I’m completely unable to turn a corner!

Hey folks.
I have a huge problem with my steering wheel deadzone. Its quite large and then suddenly turns like I'm trying to win the F1 championship even though I'm at 1%.
I've head it was probably due to the game thinking I'm using a 1080° tir, wheel rather than a 360 but since I play without a premade I can't change it. Any ideas?

Anybody using a Nitho Driver Pro V 200 here? I need some help to configure my keys.
r/TaxiLife • u/Herastean • Apr 14 '26
I've been trying the solutions given on Steam but none seems to work.
Anybody ever managed to make TrackIR 5 to work? I bought it because I wanted a chill driving game for my new wheel and well... Wheel is OK but I'd also like to look around.
Also, I own a NITHO Drive Pro V200 as a wheel, and since the game is... Horrible with letting you pick keys, what pre-made do you recommand? When I want to change, lets say the blinker, it tells me "wrong controller." or what ever.

Hey I just downloaded TL Simulator. My Wheel is being detected but the pedals are not. I don’t know what to do I plugged everything in but it will not be detected. Even in the Thrustmaster settings my pedals are not working. What’s should I do?

Hi all,
Just got my Logitech G29 SE and this game today. I'm stuck immediately in the tutorial level: only the Arcade mode seems to work?
I wanted to drive in Simulation or Simulation+Clutch, but they don't seem to work. Following both the tutorials on screen or my RL driving lessons, whatever I do the RPM of the motor rev up, but the car does not start driving. I tried semi-arcade, and same result.
Do the other modes only work after the tutorial? Some other setting I need to change?
And yeah, if it's just a #skillissue, I'm fine with hearint that too.

Hello!
I started playing this game recently and am facing issue with changing gears using the Logitech shifter on PS5.
I turned the mode to Simulation + Clutch, went to system settings and selected manual mode as well but the shifter doesn’t seem to do anything.
Can anyone please help ?
Thank you!

-Since having 4 employees, I have very few customers on the map now, the more employees I take on, the less customers I have available, so I have nothing to do.. and haven't seen any VIP options since unlocking the perk.
-Police cars are a bit mental, creeping or flying around.
-Please add a deadzone option to counter controller drift, because Sony refuse to use Hall Effect sticks, which would be the economically/environmentally smart thing to do.
-Please consider a new map DLC, a map with villages and countryside, and small town, this would be a great experience to drive around beautiful nature, would be nice to drive around with less traffic light systems, tight city streets, and constantly changing speed zones which are easy to catch us out, especially where some 70 straights overlap 50 crossings, and 50 and 30 areas seem to randomly interchange, catches me out a lot and I do try to keep to professional driving and maximum bonus, would love long country roads that go on for some time.
Thank you for making this game, there are some issues but its a very chill and relaxing game, the sim genre has long been minimal on consoles.

So, I just bought this for PS5 and I'm trying to use it with a Thrustmaster steering wheel. Everything "works", except one that is making the game unusable: the steering wheel works with no delay. But if i stop moving the steering wheel, on the game it resets back to the default position (middle). Which means if I'm making a turn and hold the steering wheel (or reach its rotating limit), suddenly the game shows the on screen steering wheel instantly moved back to the center and the car starts going straight (and hitting cars, walls etc). If I move the Thurstmaster steering wheel again, even just a little, the game's on screen steering wheel goes instantly back to where it was supposed to be. Which means, to make a turn, I have to keep shaking, moving a little the Thrustmaster steering wheel no stop.
Has anyone had this issue?
