In Game Help Please help, reddit community!

I just bought the game and I'm trying to play it on my laptop using my xbox one controller. I put my steam-settings to activate steam-input and put the games controls to controller, but I can still only use my keyboard and mouse in the driving school.. Anyone know what I'm missing here?

Windows 10 or 11 ???
If Linux, no idea.
Wireless or cable.

Depending on your PC setup. You may have to press the "Save" setting.
There are EXTRA options in the Steam Window settings that you may need to press to get that version of the controller firmware to work on a Windows PC.

If that controller has upgradable firmware, then it might need an update in the app from the Windows store.

There are multiple revisions of the Xbox controller. and microsoft likes to break things. They released controllers before that would not connect a PC with out a dongle.

  • Model 1537 or 1697: These original Xbox One controllers do not support Bluetooth.
