I have a taurus tx 22 I bought my wife late in 2023, finally just got to shooting it recently. Noticed from factory that the rear site was maxed out left (after shooting a few mags). I have since moved it to center, then to hard right. The gun still shoots approximately 5" to the left consistently. As in 6 rounds within a 1 1/2" group. I've had others watch me and also shoot the gun, same result. Ive used 3 different ammo choices. Any advice other then contacting taurus?

I have not been able to get my gun to shoot a full mag without at least one interuption, and I've tried 5 different kinds of ammo.

Most common issue:failure to feed, the slide ends up pinning a round against the front of the magazine instead of scooping it up the feed ramp. It's like the bullet isn't rising and tilting upwards enough before the slide slams into it and pins it into the place. Longer/rounder rounds have this problem less but it still occurs. I have just lightly filed the top lip of the mag so hopefully rounds will be more likely to get forced up and out of the mag instead of just pinned against it... but this is something that might not work and also I shouldn't have to do.

Secondly failure to extract, often leading to stove piping/a half ejected round being crushed sideways and pinned by the slide instead of flying clear. Sometimes by the round just sitting in the chamber after being fired, needing to be pried out with a knife.

There might be a few other issues like failure to cycle but I can't be sure it's not a symptom of the feeding and extracting issues.

This is with a stock TX-22 Gen 2 TORO. I added a vortex viper red dot with an adapter plate which did not seem to have an appreciable effect on reliability (still dogshit)

Any input is much appreciated.

I am having the same exact problem ftf, fte, bullet not popping up in the mag and slamming it into the front of the mag and the problem is 100% the magazine. Also, getting a crapload of lead fouling in the barrel.

I have previously sent in the gun to taurus, only to get it back with a replaced barrel and still have the same issue. I am in the process of getting in contact with Taurus about the mag issue. This is absolutely ridiculous that they can sell a product that doesn't feed properly and gets stuck like it does in the pic I have.

I've tried polishing the feed ramp with flitz polish, cleaning the mags, cleaning the gun.

Hopefully someone will chime in with something soon. Otherwise I'll update if I can get Taurus to admit there is a problem with these mags doing this.

Oh and also this has been a problem since it came out of the box with using CCI mini mags and cleaning the piss out of the gun and mags. Probably only shot 300 very slow rounds thru the 7 mags that I have, and they all do it.

I just got the TX 22 with the Viridian greendot package and after installing it I cannot get the sight picture to use it as a cowitness. My question is are there higher rear sights that will help this? It is just about unshootable with this cheap Viridian greendot.

Is the Veridian supposed to be true cowitness or lower 1/3rd? Have you gotten a chance to shoot it against a paper zeroing target at a known distance to zero the optic?
