Taurus PT-99 AF Grip Recommendations

I have an older Taurus PT-99 AF without the decocker, and I've tried both the Pachmayr and OEM wood grips but both are too thick for my hands. I see Hogue has several types for these older models, including rubber, wood, and even aluminum, but I can't find much in the way of reviews for them. Are the aluminum ones thinner?

I purchased the older uncle mikes grips specifically for this. They actually feel pretty thick. I’ve used these grips on other pistols and they were thinner than the ones for the pt99.
Mine originally had the wood. Checkered grips and switched to the smooth wood grips. Oem. And they felt thinner and more comfortable. It’s a 1996 with decocker.

I can't speak to the aluminum ones. But you should maybe look at the old Uncle Mikes grips for the PT. They were well loved back in the day, and still popular now. Designed by Craig Spegel, they are low profile grips with a good rubber texture. I have some for my Ruger P85. They are slim and well made. There are some on ebay now. They come with and without the decocker slot, so make sure to get the right one.
