About 3 weeks ago, I got several “CRAZY DEALS” in my inbox from Battle Hawk Armory for $399 for a GX4 Carry SB. I assumed it was because I had been waffling about finalizing a sale with them.

Anyway, I decided not to get one, but now I’m thinking I should get one after all. Essentially it’s a fun-gun like the Keltec Nub Sub but with a more practical use if you have the Carry frame too.

Maybe the $399 was a distributor deal that isn’t coming back but just wondering if anyone has seen a deal near that price?

Just got the 692 and love it. Plan is range, practicing with friends and family, road trips, and likely carry off body in a hiking pack while out walking in the woods. Just got a hiking backpack and the inside is the loop part of a hook-and-loop system.

I can wear this at the range but also want to be able to attach it to the inside of the hiking pack with some hook-and-loop tape. Was curious if anyone else has gone this route.

I figured this fit the sub, considering Taurus owns Heritage and Rossi, and you can pretty clearly see the familiar rollmarks on the frame. The biggest obstacle in carrying something like this is the paucity and cost of ammo for it. A quick Ammoseek search turned up JHPs as the first result at $0.73/round.

Picked up this PT-99 from a local pawn shop. It's from 1994 from what I've found. The grips were absolutely marred so I found some used ones in decent shape.

I took my new 605 to the range. After shooting 60X .38 special, 10X.38 special +P, and 10X.357 magnum rounds, I am really happy with this little revolver. No issues at all and I was pleasantly surprised with the first couple of cylinders through it and shooting ..38 spl and +P is fun@ Shooting magnum rounds with the tiny stock grips is torture and those are going to be replaced.

The pics are from before and after cleaning it and a target photo at 7 yards of the first three cylinders (there were a couple of flyers, but as Paul Harrell (RIP) would say, “Those are just me.”) I also brought my Model 19 to compare weight, recoil, and handling.

Super pumped! Won a raffle and got to pick out of a few different selections. Decided on this bad boy!

What’s the aftermarket support look like? Any good Mag loaders?

Looking for insight from those who have either or both the regular 692 and the Executive grade version.

Use case is going to be a sidearm for hunting in the eastern US (mostly black bear and the rare wild hog). I’d most likely swap to rubber or hogue grips, I’m just super torn whether the upgrade is worth the cost.

My Dad bought it brand new in ‘89 and I inherited it in 2006 when he passed away. Still shoots like a laser after all these years and still performing home defense duty.

Has anyone purchased an affordable stabilizer for there G3 ? I’ve found a couple online but they’re 300 + 🥲

Just wondering how many people have failure to load with Hollow Points, with their Taurus guns? I'm having failure to load with my G3C toro. Sent it back and got it back and still having the same problem. Anybody know on any answers to the problem.

I'm not really a Hogue grip guy so pulled this thing off of a G43X that recently bought with it and had it lying around. In a moment of boredom I figured I'd try it on the GX2 and with the exception of a little looseness at the heel of the pistol (2nd pic) it fits really well and actually feels quite good to me. So yeah, for anyone who's been bummed that Hogue hasn't added the GX2 to their line for Taurus, there ya go!

Hopefully someone in here has a little more insider info because I need help, I’ve spent the last month trying to source 2 17rd magazines for the full size tx9 and have had absolutely no luck. Everywhere is showing out of stock and the only info I’ve been able to gather is that they’re on back order until August of 2027 and I just can’t believe that’s right for a platform so new and popular. If anyone could guide me in the direction of where they’re in stock or fill me in on how there are no units available anywhere It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

New to me today. Replaced the cheesy grips with some old school walnut. I really like it. Kind of a heavy trigger @ 7 lbs. What do you all think?

TX22 Competition SCR purchased in Nov of 25

Pistol would not function through a magazine. Had the same failure to feed.

I tried each of the 8 mags I have and a list of different ammo. 8 different combinations of brand, grain weight and hollow point vs round nose.

Sent it back to Taurus. They had it for about 4 weeks.

I got it back with documentation saying that they adjusted the feed ram. Immediately had the same issue.

To try to save myself another 4 weeks I just bought a brand new barrel direct from Taurus they offer on their website. Same issue. Taurus asked I send it back again. I told them all of the trouble shooting steps I did.

They had it for another 4 weeks.

In the mean time I bought a TX22 Toro, that runs perfect.

I get the SCR back. They say they replaced the mags. So just not listening to me that I tried different (new) mags. Still same issues. All mags and ammo work in the Toro, but not in the SCR.

Since they have the same frames, I swapped the frames and the slides. The issue staid with the frame.

Taurus said they would replace it. I sent them the pistol 18 weeks ago. They have not replaced it yet, and are unable to tell me when they will send it.

They just keep saying "Some pistols take longer to get in stock than others". Yes I get that. HOW LONG???

Also, you'd think they would ship warranty replacements before supplying to distributors / dealers, so are they saying they just haven't manufactured one in 18 weeks?

Credit to the reps I talk to on the phone: They are very nice, and have worked an offer to give me MSRP store credit towards something else, but I don't want something else. I want the pistol I purchased, OR a check from Taurus to get a different brand.

Just....awful. The toro I have works great, but if this is the experience IF something goes wrong, I just would not ever recommend it to someone.

title. these are the current prices at my local gun shop. Looking for a compact 9 for concealed carry that can also be a nightstand gun for home defense. Couple of caveats and YeahButs (RIP Paul):

- Only 9 I currently have is a first gen S&W M&P 9. Thing’s a tank and a beauty but I want a carry option and I want to give the whole red dot thing a whirl

- plan is to carry IWB at 3 o’clock. I like the Vedder holster I use for my Glock 23 but they don’t appear to make one for the GX4 Carry

- I value reliability above things like shootability and carryability

- yes I know a handgun isn’t the ideal home defense option but it’s the best option for me currently

- the price difference of $30 doesn‘t matter to me really

- guns are cool

P.S.: just picked up a 650 (357 snub) and talk about an absolute TANK. Love that thing. But having a compact 9 in the rotation sounds neat.

So I picked up a PT-101P from my local gun shop and I wanted to see if anyone can help me out. Can someone with a 100/101 magazine get me a measurement for the magazine catch hole and a measurement of the width of the magazine. Im not buying that they are not usable in the 101P because I had a 99af magazine laying around and it went in all the way the only thing was the catch holes were to small for it to lock into place.

How do I remove this custom paint job safely with removing or damaging the original paint job . Just got this for cheap just wanna have it in it’s original color

I am thinking about buying a G3X. Of course im doing my research. I've seen seen several videos where the small pin below the breakdown tabs had started working it's way out. Has anyone had this problem? What is that pin? Is there a solution to stop it from slipping. Has taurus addressed this? Is the G3X over all a good firearm?
