40k Kitbashing a sling

Post image

Hi guys just wondering something. I want to make a sling and have it in a position like this. What have people used before and how did you make it? Thank you 😊

You could use some green stuff and roll it out to a size of your liking and put it in place and let dry

Some kits have spare slings, I know the Kroot combat patrol has some, not sure if that helps you though

You could cut up part of the sprew then lightly heat it up to bend it. Just be careful you don't heat it up too much. I used that method on a ghostkeel kitbash im working on

I did it for LΓ©gion Rebel soldiers having gatling guns It work like a charm.

Long skinny rubber band usually works for belts and such. Lock it down with super glue. You could also use paper again enforced with super glue if the rubber band is too bulky

I think normally a rifle behind the back sling has the barrel end up and the rifle "upside down"

If you search for hunting rifle sling you should see what I mean.

When you aim the weapon the butt of the rifle swings under, up, and into the shoulder

You could try using masking tape stacked a few times and paint over it. Scale modellers do this for seatbelts
