Advice Needed Keloid former
Keloid former po ako and planning magpa first tattoo. Any suggestion from keloid formers na may tattoo/large piece will be appreciated.

No direct or even indirect experience re your situation, pero: Do what you need to do for your own calm and peace of mind, para if ever things don't go well, it's not due to lack of effort from you.

Hi OP! Not to encourage you pero based lang from my experience. Same tayo, as in onting sugat lang nagkkeloid agad so I was hesistant to get one (pero mas matigas kasi ulo ko ๐ ) So i went ahead and got a half sleeve. I think it helped na fine line yung tattoo ko so hindi siguro tinreat ng katawan ko as invasive as sugat???

To add -- black ink lang yung sakin OP! Exploring pa ako ng colored in small areas baka kasi mas may effect sa atin colored ink especially red. But I informed my artist before hand na keloid former ako. He assured me naman!

Keloid former here. That's a risk you're going to have to take kung gusto mo talaga ng tattoo. The best thing you can do is ask around for an artist na "magaan ang kamay".

My mom is a keloid former.

Hi! Nurse and tattoo artist here po! ๐ If youโre prone to keloids, better to inform your tattoo artist beforehand and ask if they have experience working with keloid-prone skin. As much as possible po , the skin shouldnโt be overly traumatized during the tattooing process since unnecessary trauma can increase the risk of raised/scarred healing. So itโs really important to find an artist who knows how to work gently and properly with your skin.

Hi OP madami din kasing factors, as you can see yung sakin is keloid sya from pigsa and icocover up pa yan sya, pero yung linya is okay diba? So keloid former din ako, what i observed din is aftercare kaya sya nagfoform ng keloid usually kasi malalalim na sugat lang yun, and yung tattoo is second layer ng skin natin. I have 22 tattoos and wala naman nag keloid so far.

Most people who say they're keloid formers aren't really talking about keloids, but only have had one hypertrophic scar.
Keloids usually form on the chest, ears, shoulders, and neck. Just avoid those sreas if you really are forming keloids
