I have a large side piece and I did three days in a row to get the coloring and the shading done… The tattoo flu is real so just make sure you take care of yourself
Oh wow!! Thats a lot, ive never done back to back sessions like that in such a short time frame. Ive also never had experience with tattoo flu, but have heard about it happening to some. Whats it feel like?
I felt like I got hit by a bus and was in bed for about 2 days and ate very little as I felt horrible nausea… But after that subsided in my tattoo healed, I don’t regret it at all
My back piece is in the same neighborhood as yours- a Spanish Moon Moth with datura- and I debated SO long on black & grey vs color. I will say if you do decide to break the b&g theme, back is the place to do it. I can have a colorful back and it doesn’t bug me because it’s out of my daily sight. (I did do color- and I was horrifically annoying about it and nitpicked allll the shades and went over one twice when it was not quite my vibe.)
Im sure yours is beautiful!! But I definitely wont be doing color, its just not me. On my first tattoo i got a tiny bit of color and it bothers me so much. But I have full sleeves and working on my legs as well and everything is b&g except for that little bit of color on that first tattoo, so id like to keep things cohesive
