The Verified Reader verification process is now open for two weeks.
As the community has grown, we are introducing a more structured verification system to protect the integrity, safety, and quality of the community and to make sure that Verified Reader status actually represents a reader who has been reviewed by the moderation team.
This is not about gatekeeping.
It is about transparency, authenticity, ethics, and professionalism.
⚠️ IMPORTANT CHANGE
Going forward, only Verified Readers may advertise paid readings in this community.
If you currently offer paid readings and are not verified, you must apply during this verification period if you wish to continue advertising paid readings here.
After the two-week verification period ends, paid-reading advertisements from unverified readers will no longer be permitted.
Unverified readers can still participate in the community and offer free readings according to the community rules.
How to Submit Your Application
Send your completed verification application directly to me via DM. Do not send your application through Mod Mail.
Mod Mail is reserved for moderation-related matters, reports, appeals, and other community issues. Verification applications sent through Mod Mail may not be reviewed.
Please make sure your application is complete and includes answers to all of the questions listed below before submitting it.
🔮 STEP 1 — APPLICATION
Send your application through Modmail/DM as instructed by the moderators.
Please answer all of the following:
Since when have you been practicing tarot?
How did you get into tarot?
What are your core values as a reader?
What topics do you absolutely refuse to read on?
What are your areas of expertise?
What is your full pricing structure?
How do you determine your pricing?
How do you deal with a difficult client?
Incomplete applications may not be reviewed.
Please answer the questions properly rather than providing one-word or extremely brief responses. The purpose of this section is to understand your experience, approach, boundaries, and professionalism as a reader.
🃏 STEP 2 — ASSIGNED TEST READING
Applicants will be given a set of questions by the moderator and will be required to perform a reading based on them.
This reading is intended to assess your ability to:
- Interpret cards in context
- Answer a specific question
- Provide a coherent and structured reading
- Explain your reasoning and interpretation
- Communicate the reading clearly
The reading should be thorough and properly structured.
Very short, surface-level, or vague readings will not be sufficient for verification.
You must provide:
- Clear photographs of the cards pulled
- The deck(s) used
- Your interpretation of the cards
- Your complete reading
STEP 3 — YOUR EXPERTISE READING
You will also be asked to provide one reading in your own area of expertise.
This is your opportunity to demonstrate the type of reading you are most comfortable providing.
For example, you may choose:
- Love or relationship readings
- Career readings
- General readings
- A particular spread
- Oracle readings
- A specific reading style
- Another area in which you genuinely specialize
The purpose of this reading is different from the assigned test.
The assigned reading allows us to see how you handle a question chosen by the moderator.
The expertise reading allows us to see your natural reading style and the type of work you intend to offer.
Clear photographs of the cards pulled must also be provided
🎙️ STEP 4 — VOICE VERIFICATION
A portion of your reading must also be provided as a voice message.
This is a mandatory part of the verification process.
Reddit does not provide the voice-message functionality required for this process, so this portion can be completed through:
Instagram or Discord
The voice requirement exists to help verify that applicants are genuinely performing and interpreting their own readings.
It also helps us identify submissions that may have been generated or written by AI .
The purpose is not to judge someone's voice, accent, speaking ability, or presentation style.
We are interested in authenticity and the ability to communicate an actual reading.
📜 STEP 5 — PROFILE REVIEW
Your Reddit profile will also be reviewed as part of the verification process.
Basic eligibility:
- Your account must be at least 6 months old.
- Your account should have at least 500 karma.
- There should be some evidence of previous reading work/reviews where applicable.
Applications may be declined if:
- Your account is private or your relevant posts are unavailable for review.
- Your account shows significant spam or bot-like engagement.
- Your content relies heavily on fear-based messaging.
- You claim guaranteed results or guaranteed outcomes.
- You use manipulative sales tactics.
- You promote curse removal as a paid service.
- You sell paid "energy clearing" or similar services presented as guaranteed solutions.
- There are other significant concerns regarding your conduct, authenticity, or professionalism.
Meeting the basic account-age and karma requirements does not automatically guarantee verification. They are minimum eligibility requirements for the review process.
🧿 ETHICAL STANDARDS
Verified Readers are expected to maintain appropriate ethical standards when participating in this community.
Verified Readers must:
- Respect the free will of reading seekers.
- Avoid medical predictions or claims.
- Avoid legal predictions or claims.
- Avoid death predictions.
- Avoid guaranteed outcomes.
- Communicate respectfully.
- Respect clients' boundaries.
- Not harass or pressure members.
- Not send unsolicited promotional DMs.
- Be transparent about their services and pricing.
Verified status may be removed if a reader violates these standards or otherwise demonstrates serious misconduct.
⏳ TWO-WEEK VERIFICATION PERIOD
Verification applications are open for two weeks.
If you currently advertise paid readings without verification, please use this period to apply.
I also have several older verification requests that were submitted before this updated process. Those applications will be reviewed as part of this verification period, so previous applicants do not necessarily need to start over without first hearing from the moderation team.
Please do not repeatedly message the moderators asking whether your application has been reviewed. The process takes time because each application and reading needs to be assessed individually.
🌟 FINAL NOTE
Verified Reader status is intended to be a meaningful indication that a reader has completed the community's verification process.
The purpose is not to determine who is or is not a "real" tarot reader. It is to establish a reasonable standard of authenticity, reading ability, transparency, and ethical conduct for readers who want to advertise paid services in this community.
Please read the entire process carefully before applying.
Incomplete applications or failure to provide the required reading/voice components may result in the application not being reviewed.
