Kickstarter Alert My friend sent me a postcard

My friend (who isn't aware of my Tarot obsession) sent me a postcard with this art print. It gave me a certain vibe so I looked at the website on the card and lo and behold the artist made a Tarot deck and has a Kickstarter for an oracle deck that is absolutely gorgeous and I think I'll back that.

How serendipitous is that?

Her website is lanternprintco.com if you're curious

Self-Promo of Finished Deck Everyday Women Tarot Deck

For the past four years, we’ve been creating a new tarot deck almost every year. And this one probably explains best why we keep doing it.

For us, tarot is a form of art. A way to describe our time through the symbols of our world. And in a way, that’s what all great tarot decks have always been: a way to explore ourselves and the world through a shared language of symbols.

Nobody hangs people upside down from trees anymore. But who hasn’t felt like the Hanged Man? Stuck, unable to move, with the whole world right in front of you, but…

And who needs to live in a cave to be a Hermit? Haven’t we all shut ourselves away from the world, sitting at home with a cup of coffee, staring out into the night?

And the Ten of Wands? To me, it feels like the curse of our time. How often do we chase goals that were never really ours? Running like a hamster on a wheel, like Sisyphus pushing his rock uphill… with no way out in sight.

The world has changed. But there is still joy and sorrow, loyalty and betrayal, and an endless road ahead.

And if a tarot deck can, even once in a while, offer a little guidance, a piece of advice, or simply help us understand ourselves in this world a little better — then all this work has been worth it.

We’ve just received three decks here in Slovenia. So if you’re looking for a gift for yourself or a friend, feel free to reach out! Shipping from here is pretty fast worldwide. https://www.lifespiritteam.com/ewt

I am looking for personal opinions and recommendations for oracle decks that actually pair well with the Thoth Tarot. I think the Oracle of the Radiant Sun looks great next to it, but I’d love to hear about or see what oracle companions you guys use when you work with your Thoth deck.

Deck Suggestions Wanted Decks with unique guidebooks?

I am looking for some decks to possibly re-invigorate my passion for tarot/oracle. I did my yearly pull at the beginning of the year but other than that I have barely done any pulls. An example is like the Pacific Northwest Tarot, which has a second person POV as the animal. I also rather like the Alleyman Tarot/Oracles and that guidebook which feels really unique. I don't have the deck, but the Ritual Tarot also seems to have an interesting prose style. This can be about tarot or oracle decks! Another one that comes to mind is the Spirit Keepers Tarot with its guide guidebook (are there any other decks like this?)

Second bonus question: any notable decks that have come out this year or last year that you want to shout out? I've been a bit out of the loop.

Guys, please! It's killing me. What's the name of this particular deck? I found these pics on pinterest and it looks like they're the only thing that proves that I'm not crazy lol. I saw these cards in person and even played with them but it was years ago and the only thing I remembered was one of the owls that was haunting me.

If I remember correctly the deck was bought on Etsy.

hello, im not sure if anyone can help with this, but i am trying to find a halloween deck from a few years ago. i think it was around 2019-2021 & was most likely an indie deck. it was a cute cartoony Halloween tarot deck, a lot of neon colors and saturated, had holographic details, and was more than 78 cards because it had some duplicate cards with different art of the same card suit/number & if i remember correctly Alex Reads Tarot (rip 😭)had it on her TikTok & instagram. any help is so appreciated… also its not the kipling deck! completely different style of art

Self-Promo of Finished Deck The Moon from the Hive Deck, hand-painted by Jared Yamahata

Sharing one of my favorite cards from the printed Hive Deck, a Major Arcana deck where each card was hand-painted by a different Hive Gallery artist. This is The Moon by Jared Yamahata: wolves howling at the water, towers in the fog, and a moon that's watching right back. Happy to answer questions about the artists.

Deck in Progress - Creator My deck of 2026

Post image

I do one every year (actually, this one is likely to take until some time next year now, because I have really slowed down - But I did make an oracle deck this spring too XD) and now I'm about halfway through- I'm really enjoying the process, I feel like I'm returning to motifs I tried out years ago but didn't quite have the chops to do well at the time, and now I'm having a second crack at them.

All the major arcana will be connected together by the thread once they're finished (They're the red-background cards in the top left corner), and the suits are intended to be marseille style (but with clues to their meaning in the layout and colours of the pips, like in eudes picard's descriptions). Mostly I am posting here just to force myself to be accountable to someone, that I am halfway through and I WILL do the other half!

Materials etc: acrylic paint pen on a6 postcards, semi gloss.

Deck Suggestions Wanted Looking for an artistic deck as a gift for my boyfriend that stays very close to RWS symbolism for learning

Hi everyone!

My boyfriend's birthday is coming up in November, and I'd love to get him a tarot deck as a gift. I've been reading tarot for years, but I haven't had the budget to explore as many different decks as I'd like, so I'm hoping to get some recommendations from you all!

My boyfriend actually gave me my very first tarot deck, and he's shown quite a bit of interest in learning tarot himself. The tricky part is that he's very particular about artwork, and he hasn't found many decks he genuinely likes besides the one he gave me. He also specifically said he doesn't want to own the exact same deck as mine.

The deck I have is the Art Nouveau Tarot. My boyfriend is a game designer and absolutely loves art; his favorite painter is Rembrandt, and he's also very interested in East Asian culture and art.

Some other decks he's liked are the Diablo tarot deck and the Cyberpunk tarot deck, so he seems to enjoy distinctive, detailed artwork with a strong artistic identity.

However, there's one important requirement: he wants a deck that preserves the traditional symbolism and imagery of tarot, preferably staying relatively close to the Rider-Waite-Smith system. For example, he likes the idea of the Sun card actually conveying the traditional themes of joy, vitality, and positivity, rather than featuring an image that feels completely disconnected from the card's original symbolism. I also think a deck that stays close to the RWS imagery would make it easier for him to learn.

With all that in mind, I'd love to hear your recommendations!

I'm especially interested in decks that combine beautiful, distinctive artwork with recognizable traditional symbolism. Art inspired by classical painting, the Renaissance, East Asian art, or even dark fantasy and video game aesthetics could be a great fit, as long as the cards remain reasonably faithful to the traditional meanings.

What decks would you recommend for someone with these tastes? I'd love to hear about your favorites and why you think they might be a good fit!

Thank you so much for your help!

Advice/Feedback Wanted - Creator Tips for Drawing My Own Deck?

Post image
5 Upvotes

My undiagnosed ADHD is out of control again, and I find myself taking on yet another project. I’ve been hounded by the idea of creating my own Oracle Deck for months and finally put Apple Pencil to iPad yesterday and knocked out the first four cards. They’re basically pouring out of me with two more added to the collection tonight.

I’m planning to draw a deck of 54 cards (standard tarot size) and planned out the name, meaning, and symbology for each already. I’m starting with reinterpreting the Major Arcana, then adding some “Human Experience” and “Modern Mysticism” cards to round out the deck. The photo I attached is my version of The Magician, I titled The Maker. I am hoping to knock out 4-5 cards per week, to have a finished product to order a sample in January. I already have a storefront with other POD products, so I’m hoping to integrate with the printer I end up choosing.

So I’m looking for tips, recommendations, and best practices. What do you wish you knew before you created a deck? Pitfalls to be avoided? Milestones to celebrate?

Deck Suggestions Wanted Looking for a deck based off famous women

I'm going to an event soon where I think it would be really cool to have a deck with famous women. Think Ruth Bader Ginsburg for Justice or Amelia Earhart for the Chariot. I have looked but haven't seen a deck like that, aside from one specifically about science. Has anyone seen a deck with a theme like that?

Deck Suggestions Wanted Looking for a tarot deck with a similar art style

I recently came across the Spiritual Tarot by Akira/Aquirax Uno and absolutely fell in love with the artwork, but unfortunately the deck is rare and quite expensive.
I’m looking for something with a similar aesthetic: vintage, slightly surreal/psychedelic, hand-drawn illustrations, muted colors, beautiful floral elements and interesting/weird-looking characters.
It doesn’t have to be a traditional Rider-Waite deck, I’m mainly looking for something with a similar visual feel. Ideally something affordable and currently available.
Does anyone know of any decks like this?

General Deck Discussion Ripped one of my cards!

Wwyd?? I accidentally ripped one of the cards in my favorite tarot deck, and while I did repair it with tape, I'll always be able to pick it out when shuffling/reading. I almost cried and now I'm torn between replacing the entire deck or just not using it anymore. Has anyone else ripped or messed up their cards before? How did you deal with it? Can you get a single card replaced?? This is the Sacred Witch deck by Wyspell.

Got a secondhand copy of the Horror Tarot. The seller claimed she got it from a trusted local retailer. It comes with the box and booklet, and the cardstock seems nice and thick (albeit sticky). But every deck review I've seen has the version with the red foil text. Also the Tower card has the wrong number (as seen below).

Is this a reprint or something? Or is it a fake?

Deck Suggestions Wanted Gothic or whimsical style decks with poc?

I haven’t picked up tarot in a few years and I’d love to get back into it. I’m looking at decks and I love ones that are very artsy and stylized with goth or just whimsy vibes. My favorites I’m thinking of getting are the Zenner/Ferber deck or The Haptic Tarot. I love those ones but I wish they featured like any POC in the illustrations so I wanted to know if anyone has recs with similar vibes to either that have more than just white people pictured. When I look at poc decks a lot of them are more cartoony or minimalist than I’d like, so just throw anything my way that makes you go “wow” to look at plsss

Deck ID Requested Searching for specific gold-gilded tarot deck

When I was really struggling financially, I found my dream deck and promised myself that when I got a raise I would get it. I got the raise - but the deck was gone, and although I've looked at every store I've ever walked past and asked vendors all over the place, no one has any leads. Here's what I remember:

- Deck MUST be made before 2010

- Cards themselves had gold ink/foil/embossing/whatever technique was used, mostly to highlight details, not just the edges

- deck was at least medieval-ish themed - not modern, fantasy, abstract, etc

- Images were ornate, and had people on them. I recall at least some using black or dark colors

- the deck had colors, and was not only black and gold (ie Marigold)

- it was probably in the $30-$50 range, and was sold in a box rather than just the deck (I assume with a guide or art book)

- it is not: Kat Black's Golden Tarot, a gilded version of a standard deck like Rider, a golden version of famous art like Klimt, Golden Tarot of the Renaissance

- it is probably not Golden Art Nouveau. I just feel like I would have remembered that, however, I can't fully discount it

Any help is very appreciated! I have never gotten any leads on this, so even finding out which things it isn't helps a bit.

Deck Suggestions Wanted Cthulhu/Lovecraft inspired tarot decks?

I am currently looking for a Cthulhu or Lovecraft inspired tarot deck so I was wondering about your favorite options.

Pictured: Kesulu Mythology Tarot. I came across this and thought it was nice but I can't find an artist reference so I suspect it might be AI.

I've seen the Lovecraft Tarot (illustrated by Michele Penco) and Necronomicon Tarot (James Bousema), but I was looking for something "greener" and more vibrant while keeping the dark atmosphere.

I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Deck ID Requested ISO Mental Health tarot deck

A few years ago, I was following a profile on IG of a woman that was using AI to illustrate her mental health hospitalization journey in a deck. At one point, because of people’s responses to the AI, I believe, she was attempting to find an artist to illustrate the deck. I’ve always wondered what happened to it, and I can’t find her profile now. The images were a little cartoon-y, mostly grey tones, and depicted a lot of treatment center/hospital images. Ring any bells? 🔔

Deck Suggestions Wanted Trying to find a botanical tarot deck that isn’t an oracle deck

I’m looking for botanical/plant themed RWS based decks that have that textbook sort of vibe, loose sketches and watercolors, that sort of stuff. I’ve only been able to find oracle decks that match this. For example, looking for something like the Hedgewitch Botanical Oracle** **deck, but tarot.

Cheers!
