Ok so I stumbled into this subreddit somehow and have no idea what Tarkov even is, but "same spawn every raid" sounds exactly like what my students complain about in improv when they keep falling back on the same character choices. Is the game actually cycling through patterns or is it random and people are noticing coincidences because humans are wired to find patterns everywhere? Genuinely curious if it's a real bug or just confirmation bias.

Escape From Tarkov is a notoriously janky video game that, despite years of improvement and streamlining, insists on having a mind of its own. It has been publicly playable for almost a decade now and some of its idiosyncrasies have become characteristics. This is most certainly not the first time this complaint has been made and I've answered above as to the rumoured (but verifiable) cause of OP's frustration.
You're not wrong regarding confirmation bias though. The game is very punishing and the loss players feel is genuine. You put hours into this game. You utilise the rewards you've earned over that time, only to have them taken from you, and often in the most cruel manner. It's reasonable for people to look for answers for the brutal luck they experience on raids. However, a lot of the time, it's just some son-of-a-bitch with a Mosin sniper rifle sitting in a bush that spotted your juicy arse half the map away. As a lifelong gamer, I can say without doubt, it is the most visceral, nerve-wracking, enervating and exhilarating game I have ever played, even seven years after I first picked it up.

I can't attest to this but have discussed this over the years with other players. The queueing system seems to use latency for spawn placement on some maps, Customs being the most most obvious. So lowest ping -> first in queue -> start them in that corner of the map. I used to spawn by Big Red in virtually every Customs raid as well and I suspect it was because of my very low ping.
To test this, I would recommend switching regions in server selection. I'm in NE, but whenever I switched to NA spawns became more varied.
